it has single player but no story line

single player is basically like the only multiplayer, except you play with bots

all of the fun from battlefield comes from blasting other people online!

It has some single player, but as posted, it's an online game. The single-player is more for training than anything.

I got BF2, play some singleplayer... if you're gonna pay for the game, then make sure you can play online cause SP is only good to kill time, it won't be as enjoyable. If you're going to "acquire" the game by "cheaper" means, then SP will be fine.

Half life 2 is a really good single player game. It also does have some good multiplayer modes incase you ever need to play it. But even though it is a single player game, you need an internet connection, specifically, and preferable a broadband/dsl one. It needs to authenticate everytime you want to play single player, and when you first get it it has alot of updates it downloads. Eventhough at first its a little of a hassle, it really is one of the best FPS ever made. Far better than Halo if you've every played it, its similar too. Its like the PC's halo, but about 10x better.

Operation Clean Sweep has jets and choppers, and Daqing Oil Fields (one of my fav original maps) has choppers for singleplayer. Jets will take some time to get used to, but choppers are a pain in the butt with a keyboard & mouse. Just push "e" to hop in.

You could add more bots in the single player by tweaking the AI cfg file. I have my game tweaked at 20vs 20 bots.

Inquisition: Does it take everyone else a LOOOONNGGG time for Battlefield 2 to Verify after loading? It takes like, 2 - 5 minutes to verify each time, and it's frustrating, when Loading takes like, under a minute. :(

Single player is non existent. Definently get it if you plan to play online.
