Turn off AV/AS, update punkbuster, uninstall/reinstall punkbuster, update drivers, patches.

In a perfect world, they should. AV/AS - antivirus/antispyware. If you don't try what I said, it's still not going to work. You can't just will it to work.

Also, make sure your monitor is running at 60 Hz.

    Under My Documents

EA should dump something related to battlefield 2 about your profile.

Back that up first and then delete the folder. I think its something to do with the "temp" folder.

See how that works out for you.

I had the same problem with my desktop. First, right-click the shortcut and click 'Run as Administrator' if you have Vista.
    -Uninstall game. Reboot.
-Uninstall display drivers and use Driver Cleaner Pro to clean up. Reboot.
    -Install latest drivers. Reboot.
    -Install game.
    -Play game.

I think it is a sign to not play that game. I let go of that game a long time ago, you should too... There are better out there...

I remember that happened to me a long time ago when i had a really bad video card. I later found out that it couldn't run it, but a 8600gt should be able to run it on max settings. Update your display drivers.
