    Hi all!

I recently purchased BF2. After playing for a while I started to realize static kind of noises. I don't know what to do.

    -I have the bf2 patch
-I only hear this noise when I'm in the main menu/when victory music is playing/when in Jets or loud vehicles. Not with gunshots or anything.
-I have some garbage sound driver like Sigmatel or something.
-I don't hear similar noises in any other game.

Should I update my drivers? I can't find exactly what audio driver I'm using, and I don't know where to go to get drivers, besides Dell, which has the version I have now.

    Thanks in advance.

What are your settings in the audio menu? Disable EAX if it's enabled, try switching between software/hardware rendering and see if there's any difference.

And btw, which Dell model do you have?
