    Hey,
I started playing bf2 again, and to my surprise, my new laptop runs bf2 rather decently. However, the voip function is not working with this laptop and its drivers. But the same headphones produced voip with my last computer. I noticed ea said it doesn't work with secondary ports, but my mic is plugged into the only port, and I'm using the sigma tel audio drivers, and I still don't know what is going on. For you e1505 users, that play bf2, can you get your voip to work correctly? If you can, can you help me out? Thanks.

Well I don't have a Dell but my Compaq v4000t has this same problem. I stoped playing BF2 because of this. It sucks. :(

Yeah, the strange thing is that I can record sound and everything with the headphones connected to the laptop, it just doesn't work with the actual bf2 game.

I have similar problem. My voip works for about 5 minutes then turns off and will not work again until I restart bf2. Every time.

That is strange that it is more than just one brand of laptops that is doing this. You pretty much need VOIP if you want to use any strategy.
