    i have downloaded it a few times but it doesnt show it in the game....is there something i have to do to make it download to the game?

    You downloaded it and double clicked it right? Which patch? I'm assuming its the 1.40 Final one right?

    You have to install the patch by clicking on the downloaded file.

    Redownload it without any interruptions or pauses whatsoever(if you're using firefox that is).

    And install it as it is. Should work.

    Don't forget to take out the battlefield 2142 disk before you patch.
