I don't know if anybody has installed the Battlefield 2142 Demo for their m1210 yet, but I have. Let me tell you all, it runs great at medium settings with my Core 2 Duo 2GHz, 2GB RAM, 7400 Go except during big explosions is when it lags a little bit. However, the sound stutters every 3-5 seconds and I was just wondering why it would do that. Could it be the engine problem because when I tried CS Source, nothing went wrong. I've already set everything to the lowest, and have tried both software and hardware rendering for the settings. Nothing helped.

Note: I didn't opt for the Soundblaster software upgrade.

Anyone want to give it a try and let me know how the sound goes?

BF2 Demo does this, too. Sigmatel audio sucks. You can fix it by turning off Hardware accleration in Control Panel -> Sounds and Audio Devices -> Volume -> Advanced... -> Performance.

It will fix the sound for the BF engine, but is almost guaranteed to screw up something else that is probably more fun to play than BF2142.
