The knife still doesn't 100% work, i still managed to get 21 knife kills in 1 round xD but i missed a few that just wouldnt register so i had to shoot them.

from what my friend says, who is a sniper through and through with platinums on most of the snipers ¬¬, they have decreased the bullet drop on snipers rifles all round as he had pinpoint accuracy from pretty much whatever distance but now he said it seems he's aiming too high constantly.

I fly just fine in the helicopter now, its not over complicated and when you get the hang of it it is really simple. To make make it more simpler is giving already an over powered vehicle more power. It should stay the way it is.
-
Yeah, choppers still haven't been too bad for me. Got a couple kills with a tank and a couple with RPG and tracer dart. They must not have known how to use flares.
-
How DO you use flares? Just by using the smoke perk?
-
I dunno, and I hope they never do. LOL.
Funny thing is though that a missile homing in on a tracer dart wouldn't be affected by flares if you think about it. -
If you want to use flares you have to pick the "vehicle smoke" perk and hit right click when the tracer dart lands on the chopper. You have to release flares before a rocket is aimed at the dart or the rocket will still hit you.

From what ive been told, on the real "apache" it has a setting that causes the computer to automatically detect IR signitures and pops flares off.
attack helicopter are sopposed to be "over powered" i would expect an helicopter like the apache or cobra to be. Watch any FLIR video or helicopter CAS video and you will know that if you are being attacked by an apache or cobra you are screwed unless you have a SAM. Im sorry but its true and this game does not even expose the full potential of these helicopters. Ive seen CAS videos of an apache observe and/or destroy enemy vehicals/personal from distances a couple miles or so away in the middle of the night no problem. I cant speak for russian helicopters but they are generally inferior to anything the U.S. has.
I know its a game and also not a simulation but IMO the attack helicopters protayed in this game are underpowered when compared to reality. Also i see all you guys complaining about helicopters in a game... well how do you think the insurgents/taliban/al queda etc. feel everytime they get killed by an apache or cobra a mile or so away and they cant do a thing about lol.
its also retarded to be able to take down a helicopter with an ak47 or other small arms. -
Lots of things are "retarded" about this game, like consistently being able to kill someone at great range with a sub machine gun on a regular basis. It's alos unrealistic to use a tracer dart and have an RPG act like a sidewinder missle. It's all about game balance though. I'm glad choppers are less of a threat than in BF2. In BF2 you could spend half your gameplay time avoiding or trying to take down a chopper especially Wake Island.
BTW, why no Wake Island in BC2? That would be great! -
Agreed! Such a great idea!
It's a map which has been around forever through a couple different games (BF1942, BF2, BF3
confused: )), why not keep the tradition up! That would be soo sweet...
BFBC2 Patch Next Week...
