    Lo fellas, righty, Im currently waiting for my laptop to arrive. Im a soldier based in Cyprus and have been playing 360 games for the last 2/3 yrs. I kinda gave up on pc gaming when my desktop jus couldnt keep up with the new games. Because Im being deployed freaking everywhere Ive decided to buy a laptop that can play some decent games. So, was wondering if you lot could fill me in on some gems that I might have missed in the last 2 yrs. Ive got COD4, Bio Shock, Assasins Creed on my 360. Last decent PC games I played were BF2, HL2 and Far Cry. Im mainly a FPSr but will indulge in some RPG and Strategy :) And of course, I would like it to run nicely on my new laptop (in me sig) Cheers, and hello :D

    There's been a ton of great PC games released since the HL2/Far Cry days.

    I'd go with:

    Orange Box
    Civilization 4
    Sins of a Solar Empire
    Oblivion + expansions
    Company of Heroes
    Medieval II: Total War
    Crysis
    The Witcher

    and about a hundred other games
