Lately ive been experiencing a lot of lag during games and other prgrams. For example my CSS runs fine at one minute and then drops to -40 FPS for a few minutes every now and then. Also my WoW is really slow, when i log on it takes about 2 minutes for my character to come up on screen. I just seem to see his shadow until that happens. Also i can only seem to run WoW on medium low settings :S Other than that my computer is quite slow at times. Ive done a virus scan and everything so im stumped.

Are there any programs i can download to increase pc performance? I dont want to update my driver because i dont have much computer knowledge and would probably make things worse.

    I have an M1530 with 2G RAM, 2.0Ghz and an 8600M GT DDR3

    Thanks

aside from updating the driver there isnt much to do, have you monitored your temps to make sure the card isnt overheating and downclocking?

You could have a faulty gpu, are you still under warranty?

HWmonitor will record the max temp your card has reached.

Updating your drivers might also help if your card isn't downclocking.
