I recently purchased a Quadro FX 3700m for my sager np9262 because my Geforce 9800m GT started dying. But after playing CODMW3 with my Quadro 3700m I decided that I want to try and bake my 9800m GT, and then somehow use BOTH my Quadro FX 3700m (Master) and 9800m GT (slave) in my Sager np9262.

The first part of my situation is about the 9800mGT, below are two pictures, front and back, of the card that I removed from my Sager np9262. I have scanned over a few documents on baking but haven't thoroughly read any yet, but I have yet to see mention of what to do with GPUs that come with foil on them when baking. As you see in the images below, it appears Sager added some sort of foil covers all over the video card parts, there are two layers, on the top is the obvious foil, but under the foil is a black plastic type material (not sure what it is) that looks like it could melt if put in the oven. Is anyone familiar with this? Should I remove it before attempting to bake my card?

The second part of my question / situation is the use of my 9800m GT for gaming when I now have a Quadro FX 3700m installed. I would like to use my 9800m GT for games, and my Quadro FX 3700m for everything else, but I cannot find a clear answer as to whether this is possible anywhere. I believe my current drivers (285.62 w/ modded inf) support both the 9800m GT and the Quadro FX 3700, so I do not think that would be the issue, I just don't know if it's possible to have the extra card in there and don't know if there's a way to designate what that card is used for.

Seems that your 9262 supports SLI. However, you cannot SLI two different cards. I'm not sure whether you can SLI G92 chips but different models. Doesn't seem feasible.

You would need to flash the 9800m GT vbios onto the FX 3700m (which sort of worked on my card, problems with the temp sensor though). Otherwise I dont think sli would work.

Actually you can since almost all g92 cards are basically the same architecture and can be flashed to one another. Its been done by a user "Saltius" here, and one of them was a Quadro card, so it also works without an SLI cable.

Just PMed Saltius, hopefully can get some good advice and be able to make use of both cards. No one has answered my question about the foil / plastic cover on most of the card, does anyone know what it is under the foil and do I need to remove this before baking?

When you say it also works without an SLI cable, how does it work? I think that is what I am going for, because if I use an SLI cable I would think both cards would either have to be the same, or have the same vbios, I am not trying to combine the power of both of the cards into one (unless that is possible in this situation) but merely trying to be able to use both cards for separate tasks; 9800m GT for gaming, 3700m for everything else.
