Pretty excited about this game! It's being developed by Rocksteady and will feature (or so they promise) fully explorable Gotham City.
Release date is somewhere in 2014 (prolly Q4) for PC, Xbone, and PS4. It's already up for preorder if someone wants to buy it.
Well, what can I say - I'm in!

killkenny1 Too weird to live, too rare to die.
-
I hope it will have a reasonable big open world. If it does, I might take a look at it.
-
does look good but i was thinking exactly the same thing this time last year when Origins was first advertised and imo it turned out to be a glorified very large dlc instead of a new game.
almost identical maps with a few adaptations. im still playing it here and there but even though i got it on pre release ive still only completed 12%
now the first 2 games i couldnt stop playing. -
Don't you people think there is enough of batman already?
-
YEP TO THE ABOVE COMMENT.
that trailer was nice, almost like a movie trailer. -
Arkham city was great then came arkham origins which was more of the same and now this.
If they can create something new and not based on the old then I am in. -
It's different because Origins was made by a different group and many saw it as something to keep fans going until Rocksteady worked on the true finale to the series. Origins was great but no one does it like Rocksteady. It also says you will be able to drive the Batmobile this time so perhaps they would have made a big enough environment to justify that. -
actually since this thread was started ive been playing it again and am still enjoying it (more than ghosts multi that is).
it will keep me going until titanfall in a few days.
didnt know it was made by a different company and if it is how can they use almost exactly the same maps and buildings, thought that would have been copyrighted. -

As far as I know, the new map will be 5 times bigger than Arkham City. -

The studio that made Origins (WB Montreal I think?) were commissioned by Warner Brothers to do Origins as Rocksteady wanted a break. Both companies are owned by WB I'm pretty certain. -
ahh, then that makes seance then. thanks.
-
That's what I'm waiting for. Imagine a variation of Chicago...would be pretty cool.
The game looks very good, though. -
-
Eh, there's Watch Dogs for Chicago. The previous cities in Batman were nicely done, I'm confident they'll do a great job. Next-gen only opens up many possibilities.
-
It the same situation with The Elder Scrolls Online. Skyrim and all of the previous titles were made my Bethesda Game Studios, but the MMO is being developed by Zennimax Online Studios. Both Bethesda and Zennimax Online are owned by the parent company Zennimax.
-
The Witcher 3 was delayed to 2015. I predict this game will be delayed also. Seems to be the trend nowadays that companies announce games before they're ready and then consequently delay them.
-
At least that's much better than what EA did with BF4.
-
Oh, definitely. Though I think I should start adding a year onto any announced year of release for my most anticipated games. Hence, I'm saying this game will be delayed - Far Cry 3, BioShock Infinite, Watch Dogs and now The Witcher 3 all delayed. It's a pattern now. Either games are delayed by 6-18 months or they are rushed out full of bugs. Why can't we go back to when most AAA games came out on time and were polished? I miss those days! Please, prove me wrong Rocksteady, prove me wrong!

So pretty much what I said... -

I really loved the first two AC Batman games so I think this one is shaping up pretty good so far. TBH I wish they kept the 90s design theme for the batmobile but maybe I can muster up a mod for that.
edit
After watching that last trailer I like what I see new combat looks sweet pal. The system requirements I expect to be a bit heavy now. I can see a 2gb vram requirement with quad core happening. -
That's actually pretty light given the recent trends...

I think it will be the min just as I said but the reason why I'm being this lite is because rocksteady made the last games pretty optimized and I have real ancient hardware but was able to even bump the settings lol, so I think they wont be as crazy as lets say ubisoft lol. For a recommended spec I think well see :
a quad core 2.5ghz and up
4gb vram
8gb system ram
60gb disk space -
Looks epic... Wow!!
