Not sure if there is a thread on this but until COD4 MW2 comes out in Nov. I am planning on buying one of these...I have read extensive on each game but am still undecided..I have beaten RE 1/2/3/4. Batman looks a bit boring and I read it is short! Hoping those who have played both can chime in and persuade me!

I hear RE5 is only about 10-12 hours unless you look for all the extras. I think Batman is about the same. I kind of regret spending $50 for Batman since I probably won't be able to play it any amount for a few weeks anyhow, and will probably be on sale somewhere by then. Oh well.

I plan on getting RE5 as soon as it drops below $40.

    Both look boring ;-)

Batman must be great if you're a fan (but i'm not) and Resident evil 5 has a prehistoric gameplay and a deja vu/stereotyped storyline.

Batman is awesome, even though I thought too that it will be boring and ''one of the same''. I played the demo and then I decided to pre-ordered (that is my first pre-order by the way).
I just got it and it is a great game and I am not a fan of Batman or any superhero. I really like the story, the dialogue and the atmosphere that creates, plus it runs pretty smoothly for the quality of graphics that it has (all settings on and high apart from PhysX, VSync and AA).
If you decide to buy it, you won't be disappointed, honestly. I haven't finished it but I heard it is short but there is going to be so much DLC free content so I don't think I would mind.
I too look forward to MW2 but until then I think I will be playing Batman and World In Conflict online.

Batman is for everyone even if you are a fan or not. Its kind of Assasins Creed+hitman+technology+combos=batman.

From what I've read in a few forums people have been saying:

Batman seems to have more action and interesting but it has no multiplayer.

Resident Evil 5 on the other hand has decent singleplayer (not as great as Batman) but it has co-op lan/online play which makes it a lot of more fun to play with.
