So I downloaded the game from Steam and played about an hour of it. Awesome game with superb graphics. It was late at night and was tired so I figured it would auto save when I got to a checkpoint, well I tried playing it this morning and no fricken saves at all, have to start at the begining again. Tried looking at the options and can't find a save or auto save. How is everyone saving their games?

You have to log into windows live and use either an online or offline account to track your progress. If not, none of your progress saves. A friend of mine had the same thing happen. Save yourself further grief and create an offline Windows Live login in the game.

Good luck and sorry about your lost progress :S

Also, I think that every time you enter a new section it auto saves, so keep that in mind when you feel like "saving".

It is indeed an awesome game. I am going through my second playthrough and I just love every minute of it!
