Has anyone played this yet on PC? I'm curious to see how it plays. If anyone could put up a review I'd be suuuuper happy![]()

I got the game and will post the screenshots and review.

Im sad that I cannot use no cd patch in order to save my dvd from scratches.
If I use that then no grapple in some stages.
-
I bought it via Steam, and I'm going to play it when I get home (almost a 10GB download!). I played through the demo twice, and I was just convinced this game was so worth the buy. The demo was -not- buggy, it didn't crash, it had very little performance hiccups, PhysX on makes Batman's cape react to his motion in a way that blew my mind... I can't wait.
-
easiest way to find out Jahar is try the demo out HERE as it plays like a dream on the m860tu
above HERE
doesnt seem to work so try

I got it today guys and I love it. The story, the dialogue, the atmosphere, the characters, graphics are all top notch. I couldn't believe it that they make such a good game. All the superhero games are really crap but this is definitely the exception. I wish all the games had the quality and standards like this. Plus it runs pretty good in my system. I have all the options on and high but I have disabled the PhysX, AA and VSync. I get around 25-30 fps, I think, at least feels like that.
However, I heard it is short, has no multiplayer mode and has no replay value but to be honest I don't care since I usually don't finish the games that are over 15h (the last games that I finished was COD4 and World In Conflict, although I spent endless hours online in both games) but there are going to be some DLC for free so I guess it will add to the value of the game. I prefer the game to be short and good than long and mediocre.
Kudos to Rocksteady Studios -
Awesome NBR'ers, I might go pick up this bad boy later to play this weekend.
Cheers! -

Maybe Bman AA is hit because it doesnot follow movie, didnot released with movie, excellent graphics and techonological gameplay.
-
I bought this one from GAME today but might return it and get it from Steam instead since I really don't like being forced to use a CD/DVD. I just didn't know that it was out on Steam yet.
The Demo was great and I hope this one sells really well since it is so obvious a lot of time, effort and dedication has gone into this one.
EDIT:
I installed it and notice they already have an update via Live. I bet it is something to do with piracy and not anything else. -
Not sure if there's much of a difference in the PC version but I played it on the 360 and finished it o.o It's so much fun and is worth the amount I paid for
-
This game is astonishing. Played through it for about 5 hours yesterday. Unreal. The Joker is the greatest villain ever. Period. Especially in a video game. I don't follow the Batman comics, but wow... The Joker owns! I'm going to be playing it a lot over the weekend, and I am definitely going to be playing it again from start to finish down the road. Just an amazing game all around. A great job was done in porting this to PC. No major hiccups, although some patches in the future to optimize performance would be great. Otherwise, no complaints.
-
I played the demo, it was cool and all, but I'm not about to drop 50 bucks into it. I guess I'm not into superheroes kinds of game *shrug*.

I went and got it based on the demo, awesome game so far, but I can't find where to turn on Physx... it was on the settings list on the demo, but I don't see it on the game... is it somewhere else?
-
motherpuncher did u pirate the game.o.0 that is the only way that that option would be disabled. o.0

NO not this one.. seriously it's not there.
-
Run Bmlauncher.exe inside of your binaries folder and then go to settings. If that setting is missing, something is wrong the Securom.
-
motherpuncher22 Notebook Consultant
yeah that's where I looked.. so do I need to reinstall the game?
-
Your bmlauncher.exe could have become corrupted. If those can be copied from your CD then that should fix the problem, if not, maybe a reinstall.
I also noticed that they have already released a patch to 1.1 for this game via Live too so that might fix issues. I have no idea of change log though. -
At first I didn't wanted to try this game. But I gave it a go and it's pretty good actually.
-
I was going to buy it two days ago but I didn't have enough money since I bought Need for Speed Shift. But as soon as I have more money I will buy it but not for PC. I'll play it on my faithful PS3.
-
you need the patch to 1.1 for physx.
Runnin on clevo 860tu looks awesome - anyone else using phsx - what setting you using? -
I have Physx on the normal setting. When set to higher, it hits the frame rates too much.
I get the feeling that SLI is the only way to go if you want to have Physx set to high without major frame rate drops.
Even Physx on normal compared to disabled reduces the frame rate by over 35% or more in some areas. -
I just finished it on the 360. Great game.
-
Loving this game so far, running sweet too

Arkham Asylum has a built in benchmark that I don't remember being in the Demo version. Results will be posted up in the Core2Duo Vs Quad thread.
Already the Benchmark clearly shows Physx compared to Physx disabled having a huge difference in fps. -
Yeah, it wasn't in the demo but the benchmark tool in the game doesn't stress the PC enough. I am getting average fps around 44-50 but when I play the game the fps are around 25-30, clearly far away from the benchmark results. If you see the benchmark scenes, most of the places that are displayed are empty and without many things going on. I wouldn't trust it anyway.
-
Yea, I was thinking this myself but it at least gives a very basic idea. It reminds me of the GTA IV benchmark that was also nowhere near stressful enough or indicative of actual in game performance.

I picked this up on wed. It is a great game so far and is running amazingly on my laptop (see sig). The voice acting is spectacular as Batman, Joker, and Haley are voiced by the same people who did their voices in the TV Show. The action is great but occassionaly lags. That should be expected with any PC game though. And on a note, the lag is NOTHING that makes the game near unplayable. In fact as soon as I get home from the library I am going to log a few more hours on it.

Is the game playable as a Joker?
Is it the whole game or just those challenges? -
You can play as the Joker in the Challenge Maps only and only on the Playstation 3 version of the game.
I am sure that mods will be out for the PC version allowing this same feature for us and much more.
-

That sucks. Why is PC always neglected? I was really expecting to play as a joker. In the game, around 35%, batman was tied up exactly the same way as the game began and I was controlling joker, so I thought if I could play as a joker but it came to be a dream followed by that scarecrow.
Hope those mods come soon. -
Thank you very much for the spoiler spradhan01. Big time.
And please don't be ungrateful. The PC version is the best version, have a look at the reviews. It is much cheaper, has better graphics, PhysX (if your PC can handle it), better support, possible future DLC content or mods for free, support for gamepad or keyboard/mouse. After all, only the PS3 has the Joker DLC for free. So, big deal.
This is a great game and I am pretty sure in the future, you are going to fulfill your dreams and be able to play as a Joker but until then, please, just enjoy the game. -
Ok, maybe someone can give me a hand... I'm trailing the doctor. I go into the tunnel and I'm supposed to grappel up to the steel girders. I can't get a grapple point! Yes, I am using a legit copy.
-

I am almost done with the game. I am playing around 80% now. Yesterday was the day when I was addicted to this game. I played almost like 4 hrs straight without knowing the time.
-

Yes, I was also having some troubles grappling. So, here is what I did. I used a trainer found online which lets you float. Just be exactly below the grapple point and press the hotkey i.e(+). Then you go up and up until you grapple. THen continue your game as the trainer wont effect your game. -
Any grappling problems I had were resolved by going into first-person zoom, aiming for the specific ledge I wanted, then hitting the grapple button. Problem solved.
-
Yes, please be careful with the spoilers next time, you just spoiled it for me.
The PC version is still the best version. I played the demo on a PS3 kiosk and it is jarring to see it run at 30fps when I play it on my PC at 60fps and the Physx effects are nice. Of course my PC is much more expensive than a PS3 as well but at least I have the option of running it at much better settings. I noticed the textures were lower resolution on the PS3 and I saw some aliasing.
There are mods at least for the demo right now which let you use custom skins for Batman, the full version doesn't have it yet because of the stupid DRM
mad: ) And I'm sure the PC will get to play as the Joker in the challenge maps. This happened because Sony made an exclusive deal with the developer, same for Mirror's Edge, Microsoft gets exclusive DLC and features for multiplatform games all the time.

Now what did I spoiled? Now dont tell me that I told you the secret when you get 35%.
Anyway, if that is then I didnot meant to do it in purpose but wanted to let you guys understand why I felt like I can play as Joker.
