My battlefield 1942 game runs normally except for the sound which is rather accelerated, i have the chipmunks for voices etc.

Anyone know why this could be? I have no sound issues with any other games and the in game music is fine.

I'm trying now, it doesn't like me doing it through windows update (BSOD) so i'm trying to find the latest ones to download.

I had a similar problem with Vista and Battlefield: Vietnam. All I did was reinstall the game and updated my audio/video drivers and it worked.

New drivers installed but they BSOD on windows startup! Really freaking useful. Looks like I'm stuck with the old ones.

Anythign i try, new drivers downloaded or from windows update are giving me issues, namely BSOD. I just had to boot into safe mode and dod a system restore.

    Nice.
