OS: Vista Premium 32bit
Video Card: 256mb 8600m GT (ddr2)
CPU: 2.0Ghz Core 2 Duo
RAM: 2 gigs
Drivers: 174.31 using modded inf from laptopvideo2go
Problem: When I try to run the Battlefield 2 Demo it goes to a black screen for a couple seconds and then returns to the desktop.
Attempted solutions:
-Running it as the administrator (I have UAC off anyways)
-Editing the Video.con files to allow any refresh rate, and changing the default resolution settings
-Running in XP SP2 compatability mode
-Reinstalling and restarting
-Closing background programs
-Profanities
Help? Suggestions?

What about DirectX? Running the latest March 08'?

Okay, apparently the 174.31 drivers somehow changed my refresh rate from 60Hz to 63Hz, and for some reason they decided to make Battlefield 2 incompatible with non standard refresh rates. I will try older drivers and see if I can get it to work.
