Ignore the part where it's being installed in the E: drive because when I formatted, I accidentally made the C: drive into the E: drive, so pretend it's going into the E: drive.

I'm not sure why I would get this error. I've recently installed several other softwares with no problem. It's on my new E1705 laptop.

I know showing the error isn't help much, but that's what I get, and it gives me nothing as to why it is doing this. Help please.

Make sure the disk is clean and not damaged. Also make sure you are installing in a valid location. I had this same problem with my new laptop, but i restarted my pc and it worked. Hope everything goes well, and i hope to see you on the battlefield soon

I second what cabral has said.

The disk could be damaged or dirty, try cleaning it. :)

Hmm, I haven't used it in a while and it's been safely kept away in the case. I'll try what you guys suggested, hopefully it works because as I go back and remember when I used to play BF2, it was really fun!

Thx for the help, I'll let you know of my conclusion

    [EDIT]

SOz, what should I do to clean the disk. I just rubbed it against my shirt for a min. and my computer was restarted, but I got the same error. I thought it might have gotten further, but it still didn't work. Is there something I can use to clean disks? I hope it's only a cleaning of the disk problem thoough.

I already bought it and it is great! I just really want to go back and try out battlefield 2 again.

I'm trying to download Battlefield 2 right now and just use the Cd key I have. I'm assuming something like that would work. Does anyone have a good place to downlaod the whole game of Battlefield 2?

Uh that's called pirating, something we can't and don't publicly condone...

It's not pirating if I have my own cd key.

He just needs to download the game because his cd is damaged, He bought the game and is using a legit cdkey, i don't know how you find that as pirating.
