The installation process worked fine on my desktop, but on my notebook it freezes about halfway through the second CD and can't continue. Any ideas as to how this can be fixed (if at all)?

Does it freeze when it asks for the second CD to be inserted? Is the disk scratched?

It freezes a couple minutes after I insert the second disc. It make a little bit of progress and then just stops. All three discs are in perfect condition.

sounds like this guy has the same problem as you. Try what logan suggest; make an image of the disc (alcohol 120%) and try mouting it with daemon tools.

    Hope this helps.
