hey guys i just recieved my e1705 and i installed battlefield 2 and what not. however the audio begins to get all crackly and has static, im not sure what its coming from. i tried switching from both onboard speakers and external, and then to even a headset, but im still getting that crackly sound. then i tried changing the audio quality in the settings, that didnt work either. could it be the drivers of my onboard integrated audio? if i do need to update the drivers in my audio, could someone tell me where to get it? thanks guys.

I've noticed a crackle in Battlefield 2 with my new d620 as well, but I'm not sure what's causing it yet.

Yeah… It troubled me quite a lot, but I found the solution. Well, first I upgraded the sound driver, but it didn’t solve the problem. I tried other options (changing audio settings in the game, EAX enable, etc.) and nothing, the cracking still. But, (here its what it fixed)… went to control panel, audio devices, advanced options, and then “hardware acceleration” = nothing (sorry, I’m just translating from my spanish Windows XP), I tried several times, moving the bar, in order to see if that was the sligly detail that fixed the problem, and indeed it was. Now Battlefield 2 sounds gorgeous…

I let the experts to explain the exactly reason of why did it fix it?
