    Hey people,

Ive recently acquired battlefield 2 and from what i read it plays reasonably on the x3100. Only problem is it won't start on my x61s, when i launch it i get a short black screen and then it brings me back to the desktop.

From what I've seen this crash isn't a driver problem (which is 14.34), but it has to do with the refresh rate (which is 50Hz). Any help would be much appreciated!

EDIT: not sure if it helps, but I'm using the newest version of BF2, 1.41.

I also had this problem with a game called Rakion. There u could however enter an option feature without going in the game and click on something that said Adjust Refresh rate something something... When i turned that on or off (i dont remember) the game worked. Anyway if thats ur problem u gotta find a way to turn it on or off i guess ^_^

I think the game must be played at a refresh rate of 60hz

If that's the case any idea how that could be done safely? The x61 only supports 50Hz. Ive done some research and it appears that if you force the refresh rate to something that isn't supported it can damage the monitor. Is there some way to emulate the refresh rate so that BF2 thinks its 60?

Theres just one small, tiny, insignificant detail which changes the situation for me. Im using an intel card. This could cause some compatability problems with the nvidia control panel... :p

But thanks for pointing out that other thread. I hadnt seen it before.
