    That's cause you don't live in the USA. For US citizens, we have to download it. In other countries, EA is forced to put it on a DVD.

    Why? I love 2142, I have no played in maybe 6 months or longer but it kept me entertained for a very long time, so did BF2 before it. Those 2 are probably my fav online FPS games of all time with a close tie to UT2004.

    it's about £5 here in the UK. Here you can buy it in the stores but when you buy it there is no cd or dvd just a code and how to download it via EA Downloader!

    Well, when the black crusade expansion for dawn of war came out, you didn't have to buy the original dawn of war in order to play black crusade, infact you got the original dawn of war with the expansion.

    For me, BF2142 was a great game when it was first released. It got better until after patch v1.25. Then it went downhill from there.

    this is how it works. You need to buy battlefield 2142, the original version. After you have done that, you canbuy northern strike for $10 from ea downloader. Install it, pop in your disk of 2142, then you can start playing all the maps. Pardon my english, I am posting with my iPod touch. This is cool
