    Well after a day of playing the Alpha release witch i got from pre-ordering "Medal Of Honor" i can't wait for the full game :). The weapon mods are cool and unlock as you level up there's only one map in the alpha and its a Rush map that starts out in a big park as you are pushed back you go under ground into a big subway if you lose ground there you are pushed back into a city with buildings you can explore very cool and did i say BIG map :). The game ran great maxed out on my laptop system is in my Sig never slowed down in the heaviest gun fights well that's all i can say because the game is calling me im off to play if you want to know anything or ask you know what to do :).

    Yeah, with my rig (look at sig) im running it at high with around 25 fps.
    And i suspect when you are able to turn of stuff as AA and V-sync and such it will run a heck of a lot better!

    People have been buying codes for this on Ebay for £60+. Are people that impatient to pay more for an alpha than they would for the completed game :rolleyes:

    I am hearing many reports of good performance with this one, could this be a real PC game and not a console port I wonder.

    Theres only one vehicle its a LAV small tank its cool drives great! but yest there are menu options for tanks jets and more just not open in the Alpha demo. :(

    Get over the hole steam origin thing lol i have over 100 steam games so i know how you fell but its not the end of the world i pre- ordered mine got the map pack WOOT ! :D and you know what the games down load 10x fast on Origin than they do on steam for me anyways its all good :D :D :D

    Geez...so high? Is your CPU really that much better than a 2630QM? I get like 20-25 FPS with that and a 560m

    nothing over clocked to game runs great 1900x1080 maxed :D well have not eaten in 24 hours lol i think its time to piggy out :p this game is going to kill me hey if i leave my address can some one stop by in a day or two and see if im alive still ? :eek:

    Have you changed any ini settings or something? It's hard to see how you would get 2x the performance. is that at 1920x1080?

    Oh..... So that's normal for BF series? Hmmm, I was under the impression this would be a "realistic" shooter. For me, that feature puts it on par with MW series. hmmmm.

    I've seen screen shots of players in Counter-Strike with those features. Unfortunately they were hacks.

    Last I checked, you couldn't spam a button and see where people were in MW2. Maybe you played a different version than I did?

    Never said they had the same feature. Was just pointing out I think MW series is not "realistic": mainly killing perks and regenerating health in MP. I still think MW series is fun: I own MW1 and MW2 (play mainly single player).

    Just with all the hype surrounding BF3, I guess my expectations were set too high.

    The remedy for this is hardcore servers, at least for Bad Company 2.
    Battlefield 2 did not have 3D spotting so why add it in BF3? D:

    I hate the knife animation. Makes it difficult to stay concealed after knifing 1 person. Don't bet on getting more than 1 knife in a row due to the extended time it takes to flip someone around, and all the commotion and such.

    Knifing should be silent and quick so you can stay stealthy. Not flashy and exaggerated.

    Isn't 3d spotting becoming more of a reality in combat as technology is advancing though? Yeah it may degrade game play for some but it isn't that far fetched. Also its not like people get an unfair advantage, if one person can do that so can another. And I would personally rather have that system in place as opposed to spy planes from BO or something, someone actually has to sit there and spot people for it to work....

    Also I hear people get the following FPS on high:

    580m: 56 fps

    6970m: 46 fps

    Yea that sounds about right. I was expecting the performance I have, just confused by some people saying they get markedly better FPS and performance at same/worse specs at same settings.


    I expect I'll be at around steady 30 FPS on satisfactory settings at retail, which is good enough for me.

    Is this game CPU-heavy enough to justify upgrading my laptop's CPU from a Core i3-2310M to a Core i7-2630QM? Then again, the Quadro NVS 4200M on it is quite mediorce, so I don't think a CPU upgrade would necessarily pay dividends...

    Anyone running a laptop similar to the one in my sig? I am using a 1080p external LED. Just curious to what I can expect to get. I want to be able to run 1080p 8x AF (No AA is fine) and med-high settings like BC2.

    I dont think it is because of you buying MOH LE that got you in the Alpha. I also bought MOH for that reason.

    Just to clarify the OP, you didn't get the alpha because of the MoH LE pre order. If so, I would've gotten it too. The invites are random.

    On topic - glad to see it doesn't require a beast of a PC.

    I cant seem to run it, it crashes every time i try to run the beta. IT says "display driver AMD stopped working and has recovered" then crashes afterwards
    Can any one having a m18x confirm this?

    I got a key, not sure why or how beyond being a darkspore/bfbc2 owner

    I can say ATM the game looks good, but they still have quite a bit throttled back ( being alpha ). It's a bit too frag happy for my taste, at least on starting part of the one map...so I'll probably not get it at release.

    Being said, the origin / browser program is awful, I'm sorry but it's clunky and unfortunate ( but even it is still in beta, but I won't hold my breath). I've luckily been privy to some fun bugs and for me - that's actually the part I like most :)

    Have being playing the Alpha too for the past week, it does not seem to make my laptop as hot as BC2 i just left the settings as they were but changed it to full screen instead of windowed. I don't like have to play through a browser though...

    the server selection is online via FF/IE/chrome/etc so you don't have to start the game in order to see what servers are open/friends on/etc... good idea in theory, but if your pc/laptop is borderline(like mine) the extra 512mb+ that firefox takes is enough to make a difference...



    I can play in low settings without too much lag(laptop in sig), but there are times when it "slideshows" on me...
