Oh yeah here's the two battlelogs he was on.
Battle Report - Battlelog / Battlefield 3

Oh you can be killed by other assets that isn't on that map or mode.
Like an A10 in metro conquest. -
Maybe i should consider myself lucky then.
Have not bothered playing BF3 since i sendt my Siberia v2 back as RMA.
DICE WHY U NO UPDATE GAME?!?! D; -
usapatriot Notebook Nobel Laureate
I guess DICE is too busy working on MOH2...so sick of this.
-
I have bad experiences with BF3 (lchoppy gameplay etc.) But I really want to play a normal team based FPS. Are there any improvement with nVidia cards? (newer driver?)
-
I dont know, but one of my NBR frends got a Alienware m15x with a 260m and he can play Battlefield 3 just fine.
Granted his CPU is a 820qm but that Core 2 Quad aint no slowpoke either. -
If you look at the top right, hes killing people with the SOFLAM too. How can the equipment cause damage?
-
Cause of the client side hit detection.
They figured out where to replace the killed by item id and victim id.
I wonder if you can replace the source id to screw other people but then again they are trialing a streaming ban exploit which bans you from all punkbuster servers. -
Well I'm having loads of fun (yeah I know, I hate to be one of THOSE guys
)
Anyways, I'm sure this has been brought up in the past, but how do you guys pilot jets/helis in-game? Do you use a mouse/keyboard or have you invested in a flight joystick? Could I get away with buying a cheap one (less than $50)? -
Keyboard and mouse has been working fine for me. I'd say it works better for helicopters than jets, but I don't think you need a joystick for either. That said, jets would probably be a little easier to control with a stick. I'm sure you don't need anything fancy.
-
I tried using my joystick and after spending 30 minutes setting it up on an unranked server, it just didn't feel right. I can fly much better (albeit that's not saying much) with the keyboard/mouse. Someone suggested binding the down arrow to one of your mouse buttons (thumb) so you can turn sharply if needed instead of dragging the mouse.
-
You can control BF3 with a standard Xbox 360 controller or something else that supports full XInput.
Dident notice it myself until it started to kick in the rumble on my glass desk.
Now that was noisy. xD -
I felt the same.
Found the key/mouse was a better combo for the helo.
Joystick for the jet ... I would like having inverted y axis for the mouse without jacking up my joystick with it.
Also, would love if the freelook that let you do whatever you want instead of allowing only yaw.
Oh forgot, ability to disable cruise control.
I use joystick/mouse for vehicles.
I readjusted my brakes for F35, after finding out how pretty effective it was.
Wish there are more unranked wake island servers. -
What I don't like the joystick option for jets is how Free-Look, severely, decreases sensitivity.
-
Is anyone else having issues lately with "buttons getting stuck" on the keyboard meaning that you have to quickly let go of the key and then pressing it again (usually a movement related key WASD)?
So annoying when flying... -
I get them if I'm playing on my laptop keyboard, using cheap keyboards or wireless keyboard/mouse.
-
Btw don't forget to cheer on your respective country in the BF3 Nations Cup! Go go team Sweden!
-
Looking for people to play with as I'm tired of joining a team who is just getting blasted away because they decide not to squad up or play as a team, my origin ID is Xplicit_Jok3steR, I'm mostly an engineer, I take down tanks, fix tanks, try to take down jets but it's hard if you don't have a recon putting up SOFLAMs, would love to play on a team that knows how to play for once
-
i added you on battlelog my name is :bulletdropped

^ i suggest you join the platoon named Neocaus on Battlelog. they have games planned on every Saturday from 12PM CST to 6PM CST (depending on how many people show up). they have a TeamSpeak server set up to facilitate communication within each squad. i've already played with them once, and it was the most enjoyable BF3 game i've ever played.

added you bulletdropped

FINALLY! Got my last assignment completed. Damn. Now what, lol.
-
Go for all the weapon-unlocks !
And all the medals ! -
Download an aimbot and RAIN DEATH UPON THE FIELDS OF BATTLE!
I kid I kid. -
surprisingly I switched to playing only large conquest and this game has done it for me, I'm such a noob for playing rush this whole time, I'm really enjoying it

After I get slaughtered playing multiplayer, I always notice the other players zip through their weapons pretty quickly (change from main, to sidearm or grenade etc.) What key bindings does everyone have setup for "on foot"?
Sorry if this has been brought up before, I did a quick search with no results.
Here is how I usually play:
Forward:W
Left:A
Right:F
Reverse: D
Crouch: LShift
Prone: LCtrl
Sprint: Space Bar
Jump: MB2 (Clicking the scroll wheel)
Fire: LMB
Zoom: RMB
Spot: MB3
Primary weapon: Scroll Wheel
Secondary Weapon: Scroll Wheel
Reload:R
Gadget 4: (Defib in assault) Q
Gadget 3: (Health Kit in assult) Tab
Gernade:4 key
Knife:5 key -
Im using the default key settings.
But my advice is to just play with whatever settings works for you. -
I use the scroll wheel to switch weapons on the fly. Although it still seems slow to me, so does reloading.
-
DirtyTrickster Notebook Evangelist
I use to use the scroll wheel for all weapons too, but I ended up going too far and throwing a med kit at the bad guy.
-
I stuck with using the number keys.
Found it much faster for me than using scroll buttons.
Plus I always reload with a round chambered for a 50% faster reload time except for lmgs.
There are a couple of guns I could just reload after every kill since it goes so fast. -
LOL, yeah I've done that a lot. It's like "here, take that ammo kit, that'll learn ya"...
-
On that note, I really wish BF3 had a sort of "last weapon used" option where you could bind a separate button/key to just swap back and forth. Like in Left 4 Dead, for example; at any given time, you can be carrying a sidearm/melee weapon, primary weapon, throwable weapon, health kit/defib/special ammo, and pills/adrenaline. It's a bit of a pain to scroll to exactly the one you want when a horde ambushes you, but one bind will let you swap between your primary and sidearm instantly, regardless of what you're currently holding.
-
So I finally unlocked the M16A3 for the Russian side and man is it a blast! Interestingly, I've found more success with shooting on the semi-auto mode, even in close-quarter battles. Before, I'd turn a corner, see like 2-3 guys hugging each other with ammo kits and claymores 5 feet away, and spray in the general direction hitting all of them but never killing even one bad guy. Now, while having it on semi-auto mode, I turn that corner, aim at the chest and fire 3-4 individual shots at each bad guy in quick succession (the "spray" gradually rises and usually the last shot is a head shot). If I'm luckily, I walk away with minor scrapes and burns while racking up 2-3 kills. Also, using the single red dot sight proves to be the best for close range, and the 3.4x one (I forget the name) for medium to long distance shooting, in my experience of course.
-
I use the holo scope usually for close range, and the 3.4x for medium range. I do find burst is useful. Problem is you have to choose a mode otherwise you go in to spray just to suppress for your teammates and out come only 3-4 bullets, lol.
-
there is a key bind for switching between primary and secondary, its there for controller support
-
There are times I want to just hold my medic/ammo instead of throwing it to the ground so I have to scroll to get there.

I racked up a serious score as an engineer on Karkand with a G36E + Holo (later ACOG + Silencer). Very nice multi-role combo.

Minor PC Update - Blog - Battlelog / Battlefield 3
Well here's the 'major' Feb PC patch.
-
I decided to join this group that's been around since 1942 (Game, not year), they are called Global Conflict. It's not really a membership, more like a participation in their highly organized battles that last 6 hours every Saturday. You join an Army and within that army you join your assigned squad, and there is a Chain of Command.
I guess you can call it Role Playing. What I find more interesting is that way battles are won. In the website, there are real-world countries that you take battle in, and if you win, your army owns the country, and after that, you'll be face to fight another country and so on.
I have yet to try this but hundreds of people already applied to be in their campaign so I have some faith in this. -
Wow like a game of Risk. I haven't done role playing in games since squadwar in freespace world.
-
I'll admit, I lol'ed
But srsly, that sounds awesome! I'm totally going to check them out. -
I haven't been keeping up to date with the BF3 news...
Gamestop B&M stores have the LE for $40
Has anything important changed since launch?
It would run on my sager, so how well will it run on my m6600?

Kinda feel that BF3 is losing attention thanks to lazy patch support and lowlife cheaters. D;
But im crossing my fingers, because i would rather see it live on like BF2.
Btw the Mumble server is down, i have taken down the server so i can borrow the Crucial M4 until my Intel SSD 510 RMA goes through. -
Yeah, there hasn't been a much needed patch that they kept promising.
-
darxide_sorcerer Notebook Deity
yes, it will run just fine on your laptop.
it has its own share of bugs, random crashes, and cheaters. DICE has released three patches already (if i'm not mistaken) with a major one still baking (if they haven't lied about it!). i personally like it and enjoy playing it with my friends as a team, coordinating together. i suggest you check eBay; if you're lucky you'll find a cheaper one there. -
masterchef341 The guy from The Notebook
- it's much more fun in a group
- it isn't buggy for me anymore, or finicky outside of the fact that you have to alt-tab to get to the server browser
- unsurprisingly, battlelog hasn't grown on me
- it is one of the few games that seems to be "on top" of the cheaters. part of that is due to the fact that you can see everyone's profile, you can track someone and see with certainty how long it took them to get banned. -
I'll admit I have fun, but I don't quite enjoy it. It's like an addiction. Something that I feel I have to play more of despite not quite liking it. It's still buggy and many of the hit detection things are still outrageously stupid. Head exposed, nail them a few times, they should be dead, not firing back at you with only 10% health lost. Still too many "bad luck" and "suicide" deaths for no apparent reason. Many times I'll shoot someone short range with a shotgun and while I kill them I die with a suicide as well, not using explosive rounds.
It's still buggy because they haven't had a client side patch for months. So nothing else was fixed that wasn't before.
Not sure how you can say they seem to be "on top" of the cheaters. It's so rampant. Every game now I see at least one or two people PB banned. The funny thing is that there are more blatant cheaters that continue to play without repercussions. -
On some maps, there are some spots you can't fly over or into. You just simply die or teamkill
-
What is the 4gb patch?
I have a crappy 1mb connection
-
darxide_sorcerer Notebook Deity
4GB? there is a 2GB patch which includes the B2K DLC. the first patch was about 500MB. so, idk.
