Battlefield 3 vs MW3

Im new to computer gaming and im trying to decide on the 2, any of you have any opinion on which one is better for PC?

 

I've got mw3 and its.... meh basically mw2.5. Its an alright game, but there is quite a few hackers running around. I haven't picked up BF3 yet, but I think i get my code for it next week with mass effect 3 since I pre-ordered through origin.

 

BF3 has better graphics, the Story Line in each I'd rate as equal, neither is better or worse than the other in my opinion. The biggest selling point to me is that you can play MW3 offline, you MUST be connected to the internet to play BF3, even the single player campaign.

I don't play a lot of multi-player but everyone I know that does says BF3 has it all over MW3.

My opinion: If you want to play single player MW3 is the way to go, if you want to play online Multi Player, BF3 is your ticket.

 

Most PC players are gonna say Battlefield... But my personal preference is MW3.

Battlefield may be larger scale and more "realistic" but MW3 is a lot more fun for me. Spec a loadout, jump on for some quick TDM with your buddies. Or play co-op survival which is a blast.

MW3 gets a lot of hate because it's basically a refresh of MW2 ...but honestly who cares. It's a lot of fun if you have some friends to buddy up with.

 

I agree I like the fact that they didn't change the core aspects of the game and kept it the same.

 

When it comes to choosing a game, only YOU can make such a decision. People tend to give their opinions/views about a game that is very very very bias. Go to youtube and check both out and make a decision.

MW3 is fun (offline & online) and despite what people would say, it is not mw2.
BF3 is fun also (online) the single player campaign is horrid in "my" opinion, but mp is fun.

Battlefield online community is dyeing down (I'm a top-level executive in a gaming clan for over 3+ years now and bf3 recruitment is hurting due to the dyeing community).

MW3 online is going strong, like most cod games when they hit the market... make a decision.

 

I enjoyed BF3 more over MW3, BUT ...I enjoyed BF2 more than BF3 multiplayer wise. I find the BF3 maps involve far too much running/walking compared to BF2.

BF2 is probably my all time favourite FPS.

 

I own both, and I can say I like MW3 better. BF3 graphics cannot be run on ultra @ 1200p without major lag. Also the aiming system and hit boxes are totally screwed up. It is without a doubt better than BC2, but eh. MW3 as it's been stated is NOT MW2. They've nerfed weapons, changed around the gameplay, and have new maps and game modes. Now you just don't have to get kills to get killstreaks, shooting down helis and capturing points will add to your killstreak. Also with other support killstreaks, they don't reset when you die. AND best part is, you don't need a supercomputer to run that on high/ultra.

Xbox360 go play somewhere else, child

 

Hey now... calm that none sense down. Everyone has their preference when it comes to gaming, "child". Don't disrespect people here. Especially if they asked a legitimate question... they don't need anyone criticizing them and calling them names.

online game = BF3

I own battlefield 3 and have played mw2 and mw3. mw3 is mw2 with a couple more maps and other small things (effects and such) added to make it slightly better. The only version of cod that I enjoyed is modern warfare. I have played plenty of that (still do) and have also played alot of modern warfare 2 and wasn't really impressed. So yeah... mw3 is a disaster!

 

BF3 is more realistic. They rate the guns similar to real world performance and even account for bullet drop. Its more squad based and there is less of an incentive to "rambo" around a map.

MW3 is where "Rambo" can roam free and destroy noobs. There is very little graphical improvement over the last game and it basically feels the same as the older one.

I like realism and working with a squad. I am BF3 all the way.

 

Why one or the other? They are both totally different and I enjoy them both, I say get them both.

 

i love BF3 but it has its share of bugs. the hackers have seem to decreased alot. i think BF3 allows for more varied gameplay. MW3 seems too much CQC and non stop rambo-ing. BF3 can have the TDM/CQC but if you feel like going 1337 sniper and getting headshots at >900m BF3 lets you (albeit your teammates might hate you for that). also if you decide to be a flying ace, they have jets, and dog fighting is pretty fun.

 

You don't need them, they're both expensive as hell. Go get Battlefield Bad Company 2 and wait for the BF3 or MW3 to be cheaper.

 

I've played both, MW3 is better in my opinion.

 

ive played both, and honestly i cant stand online gameplay in mw3, its basically a bunch of 11 year olds running around and knifing. you cant just slice somone once and kill them, thats why in bf3 you have to dig it in. also bf3 has vehicles and huge maps and destruction, not to mention you can customize everything on the gun and the perks in bf3 arent retarded.

 

I like BF3 a lot. When the free multiplayer was on, I couldn't stand these people swearing and using offensive language all the time. MW3 has really small maps which is a con for me and not to mention, the squad gameplay is fun.
As for MW3 VS BF3 here in NBR, BF3 is still in page 1 for discussion and MW3 . It tells something.

 

For me BF3 takes the crown but thats only because i enjoy derping around in the chopper.
Deathmatches in BF3 is horrid and MW3 wins easily on that one.

But dont get me wrong, BF3 still got a ton of issues just waiting for a patch.

 

BF3 hands down. MW3 was a letdown, MW2 was ALOT better than MW3, the maps in MW3 are so small that its no fun, atleast MW2 has maps like Derail and wasteland.
BF3 has huge maps, vehicles, amazing graphics, single player story was awesome, multiplayer is really fun. MW3 is for kids, BF3 is for men
