I won't be buying BF4 if they're going to pull all the crap they did with BF3. I am not usually as anti-EA as most, but I feel like BF3 had the potential to be a stellar game before EA turned it into a slightly deeper Modern Warfare. It's a console shooter with vehicles

Well, they consider a lot of feedbacks which are not even necessary.
-
I wont even touch this game
-
I hope they fix the hit detection and blue tint. Ugh.
-
Already? EA is turning this series into CoD.
On the othernote, the MoH Warfighter video on that site is actually pretty interesting. -
-
-
I think Warfighter has some serious potential, that looks like fun
-
Don't buy Warfighter thinking you'll have exclusive beta access. With the original MoH, all you got was 2 day early access to the Battlefield 3 beta and it too was labled as "exlusive Battlefield 3 beta access for Limited Edition Medal of Honor pre-orders".
-
However, Warfighter looks fun. -
Am i the only one looking forward to this :S

I'm not sure about BF4.
I was unable to play #3 properly for months because of crashes due to the browser-menu they force users to go through. I'd say the game crashed 50% of the time, so if I had 1 hour to play one evening, I would spend half that time trying to get a game going.
Now it works properly, but it took far too long for the fix. -

What happened to BF2143?
-
I was let down but in the end I still played it a lot. I do still want all the features that were lacking in BF3 though. As much as I would like to say I won't be buying it to protest, I will.

The main issue I have with BF3 is how incredibly inconvenient it is. You've got origin, the web browser plugin, the launcher for servers and for the game is in the browser, the settings menu can't be accessed from the "menu", because the "menu" is your web browser, so you have to go into a live game to change your settings. And then there's the voice chat "sonar" plugin thing. It's a hodgepodge of software.
The game itself isn't perfect, but it has its moments. It tries to be a lot of things and it largely succeeds.
With BF4, I'd really like to see them unify their software to make it less annoying to use. That's my biggest beef with them. -
-
I remember reading that BF:BC3 was coming out next fall, I don't think they'll release BF3 if there making a BC3, plus MoH too. EA is looking to take over the FPS genre.
BF3 is an amazingly awesome game, I'm actually looking forward to the Armored Kill DLC for BF3 in Sept. Supposed to have the biggest maps ever released in a BF game. I can't even imagine what they can do with BF4 -
10char. -
I doubt its going to be a polished game that DICE expects it to be with EA breathing down on their neck pushing towards the deadline.
I want them to take their time with this next Battlefield game. -
I'm still waiting on BF3...

I bought BF3 on origin when it became clear it wasn't going to exist on Steam.
Now that I realize how much of a PITA BF3 is (even though the actual game is decent) - I'll consider buying BF4 if and only if it gets released on Steam. I'm no longer interested in web plugins and web-based server browsers. I could tolerate it as a completely separate and completely optional installation. I would also be content if they could provide with a simple internal web-kit browser permanently pointed to battlelog inside of the single, unified game window. I don't care what tools or technologies they use to build their menus, I just want it to work seamlessly. -
One thing is for sure, I will definitely be buying the US version rather than the RU version this time. Although I saved about 20,00$, it is such an annoyance being forced to utorrent the language pack every single time EA patches the game. I thought it would be a one-time thing, I was mistaken (it's perfectly legal buying out of region games by the way).
The recent RU to EN language patch "broke" my game and now it won't launch properly so I might have to reinstall it if I cannot repair it (haven't attempted yet) -_- Definitely sticking to US/North American Region games in the future, too much of a hassle otherwise. -

I tried my best to warn everyone. I felt like I was mostly ignored. Oh well.

All I ask is that they eliminate client side hit detection and add squad and same vehicle VOIP.
The cheating is just simply out of control. I can't join a game without at least one or two people being banned for hacks. Yes it's good they're banned, but it just shows that they exist and continue to exist. If it were once every 10 games I'd say it's under control, but pretty much every game there's safe to say, two people on average that get PBBanned. -

Battlefield 4 Sticks 720P/60 FPS on Next-Gen Consoles - Frostbite 2.5, Game Details Leaked, Arriving in November 2013
Sorry if this has already been posted, but its rumoured that the Next Gen consoles wont even be able to run it at 720p.... -
-
Not surprising that BF4 is at 720p though, since they're trying to hit 60fps and the ps4 has mid range hardware the begin with. Though that doesn't bode well for multiplatform games in the future. -

No more Medal of Honor: EA pulls from rotation due to poor reception -
But how about this:
" Commander system as expected is definately making a return to the game with the leading commander Providing fire, recharges and UAV detection support to their team."
YES!!!
Also:
- Air Combat zone would be further increased giving much more room for dog fights with jets.
- Battlefield 4 would also bring back the much renowned and upgraded Destruction 4.0 system to the game which would offer destructible environments and buildings which we saw back in Bad Company 2
But on the down side:
- Micro-transactions would be available in the game but they won’t affect the balance of the game at all and are entirely optional which is great to hear.
Although I like the destruction of Battlefield 3. In BFBC2 you could turn the entire map into rubble then it's just an open battlefield. Although I don't like that some buildings could be completely destroyed, while others go totally unscathed. -
I want to plant a nuclear bomb inside Battlelog before BF4 comes out so that EA won't have to use that crap
-
that soon? damn it.. I don't wanna pay 50-100 bucks for better lightning
-
-
-
Hmm bf3 is my first battlefield game. And for me its the best fps game I have played. Whats so great about the past battlefields? The only thing I would like to see is lobbychat and better team balancing.
I also think battlelog is a step forward... I like to surf a little while loading and checking my assignements. -

Also ships and aircraft carriers that were controllable in 1942, not so in bf2. But still, you get the idea - the attacking team starts off on the aircraft carrier and have boats and planes to make a landing.
In 1942 there was a Midway map that had just two aircraft carriers and a tiny island in between them. We would fly over and make clandestine landings and then run up and booby trap all of the aircraft and then detonated them in the air XD
The modding scene of the earlier games, especially 1942 and bf2 were amazing too.
Bf3 is a good game no doubt, but IMO didn't really get that tight integration that the earlier games had.
Oh and Titan mode in 2142 was just so fun. -
-
revolutionary one was bf2 no? bf 1942 was also good, but I think I liked bf2 more (I liked the maps of bf 1942 but bf2 wins my heart
)
also come on! I don't feel like it was released oct 2011. I feel like it was released yesterday (because of damn expansions coming so late, I mean I just started playing air superiority...) -
I'm excited. BF4 is going to be sweet!
-
I don't recall anything about no annual title. MoH is a failure. Bad Company is too similar to Battlefield. What are they left with? /shrug/

" So, the IP has been spiked with EA instead ramping up its Battlefield development to become an annual series."
