I agree and that's not even with a full stereo system. Been using headphones HD555's and Hd238's both sound great.

The HDR sound they use is nothing short of brilliant. I've never played a game that immerses you as well as BF:BC does! With a full surround sound setup, plus a big screen, its an incredible experience.

I can't wait to play the second one!

    Will try war tapes.

You missed the 99% of the game by NOT playing the Multi :D

Make sure you set the sound quality to "high" in the .ini file. For some reason it defaults to "low" for a lot of people. It will sound even better.

The settings.ini file is located in My Documents > BFBC2 folder.

Sound quality is pretty amazing in this game, but is anyone else having issues with voip? I never hear anyone talking in game and I don't think my mic is working in game either. I know my mic works because I use vent at the same time and that works.

I'm pretty sure the in-game voice chat is broken right now.

Yes this game has the best soundeffects ever in a computer game. Bad Company 1 which I bought for my PS3 also has excellent sound.
Too bad I finished Bad Company 2 single player in about 5 hours.

I love this game, it performs on average about 55 - 65 fps at high settings with 80 fps the highest seen in game, AA disabled and HBAO enabled at 1600 x 900. The dialogue is hilarious sometimes, the battles are just crazy. Taking down an entire house with an RPG never gets old and the change of pace is great. I have only played Single Player.

The graphics and the sound are really excellent and the environment effects are too. If you disable HBAO you will get something like a 40%+ boost in fps in exchange for loosing a lot of atmosphere.

No surprises here but this game uses all 4 logical and 4 Physical Cores to very high levels with 1 Core always at 99-100%.

By the way, I was getting graphical glitches and artifacting so changed modes to Dx9 as McShadycakes suggested here and the problem has completely gone now. Dx9 still looks great too!

HBAO only works in DX10 and DX11. DX9 performs way better than DX10.
