Ive preodered it, beta tested it, and noticed that the AA doesnt work right.
The higher the AA option, the farther objects are AAed.
Traditional AA works like that, the lower the AA level the lower the AA quality.
But here if I select x2 AA (which is what I usually go for, low resource consumption and still way better than no aa and not too different from 4xAA)
it just AAs my Gun (BARELY) and the rest is not AAed, If i want correct aa I HAVE to go x8 but then thats just a resource hog and definetly cant play at that FPS.
Is that gonna get fixed? or should I go get a refund, at this stage of testing Im strongly thinking its not. (No way I am playing a battlefield game without AA ><)
EDIT: Hum, I'll copy and paste this on EAs forum.

Asking a refund over a bug in a beta product is kinda silly IMO. Best you could do is forward them the issue even by posting in their forums or emailing them to ensure its gonna be fixed in the final product.

I agree, ill do that first. I am aware its beta but from past experience cant help but think its not actually considered a bug.

Sounds like it may be working right to me, just like AF kinda work with distance. Applying AA to things closer in your line of sight makes sense to lower the performance hit.
You can try to force AA from your video card drivers and see if it works better, the game may just be using a different type of AA than what your used too.
Also if your not playing at your native resolution that will help make it look better probably. -
Hopefully you will get a respond to your message saying if its intended or not. If it isnt it should be fixed (hopefully
).

what resolution and settings are you guys playing on? and what hardware do you have?
I haven't bought (or played) a commercial video game since cod4.. might buy this one if it can run on decent laptop hardware. -
Apply the aa in the nvidia/ati control panel. Also don't force the game to run in dx9.
-
The game is Dx10 only ?
Sigh, wish i had a beta key so i can test it out. -
You can force the game to run in DX9. It's a known issue that AA does not work properly in the beta. In fact, many people are getting a performance increase with 2xAA selected instead of no AA.
It will work normally in the final release. -
you can run it in dx9 mode, but for some reason aa won't work for me in dx9. Thats why I said don't do that for the OP because he wants aa. I have no problems running it in dx10 mode and forcing aa through the nvidia control panel, I noticed zero performance increase running the game in dx9 mode so it doesn't really matter to me.

Yea I tryed DX9 the benefit I get from that is less mouse lag, but thats about it, and the shadows are messed up.
I tryed forcing through ATI control panel but then i just get no AA, mebbe its a ATI thing.
