So I bought Bad Company 2 thinking it would work ok on my 6860fx, but it's not working at all. When I get into a game it looks like it's running at just a few frames per second, making it impossible to play. Here are my specs:

    Processor: Intel® Core™ 2 Duo processor T5550
    2 MB L2 Cache | 1.83 GHz | 667 MHz FSB

    Video: NVIDIA® GeForce® 8800M GTS

    RAM: 4GB

I'm wondering if my experience is normal, or if maybe I just have a bad driver or something?

Either bad drivers or that CPU is simply too weak o_O

From what I understand it is a pretty tough game to run but considering I have seen people reporting it working fine in the m11x lounge it shouldn't be unplayable.

Make sure that your computer isn't on power saver, make sure its plugged into the wall, turn down the physics if enabled (also maybe AA and dynamic shadows if applicable) and try a different driver (make sure you aren't using a modded 196.75)

    1. Your CPU might be weak so that might be a case...
    2. Your system might be overheating...
    3. Your drivers might be crap... try the 195.62 drivers and try this riva tuner fix to undervolt GPU without BIOS flashing in case temps are too high....

but really , the first question is out of the way as even a Su7300 is able to run BC2...

Man that's wierd, it runs 30fps minimum for me, 1366x768 and medium settings, looks superb gfx wise and very playable.

    Maybe update you're drivers etc?

Works fine on mine, but I have the CPU upgraded to T9300.

I'm running on 1400x900 with 186.82 drivers and last time I was getting average of 30fps when I was running beta.

i would try too reinstall the drivers.

i think your cpu would handle it fine might not max it out but should be playable with mem settings or heck even high.

sense i tried it on my asus 1201n netbook yes a netbook lol and the fps was around the teens on low settings and was kinda playable but was makeing the net lag sense i think the game likes too be over 20fps.

my asus g50vt-x5 even plays it on all high settings with 1366x768 res 30+ fps

which ony has a 7450 but i also have it clocked too 2.6ghzs but even at stock it was still doing fine and ony 200mhzs more than your cpu.

    but ya reinstall the drivers.
