Hey guys,
I have recently been in the BFH beta and they are starting to expand servers... which will lead to the final release.
I know some people that just signed up and was sent an email with the Beta Key within a week.
It is quite fun and intense.
Come and join the fun.
For those that are wondering:
System Requirements (according to DICE):
That is pretty nice... now the IGP (integrated graphics) crowd now have something to look forward to.Code:This will be a Free-To-Play game when its released - 1.0GHz CPU - 512MB RAM - 64MB video card - 500MB free hard drive space - IE7 or Firefox 2 required to launch game
Game On People,
-Gophn
P.S. I have covered BFH here as well, for the Article, Info, and Trailer go here:

when does the beta end?
i may give it a go, this weekend stupid home conenction is screwed
how do i get a EA acccount? -
Thanks for the heads up Gophn just registered hopfully i can get in
-
Hopefully I would get in. I registered a month ago but still haven't receive a beta key...
-
i signed up for this over a month ago and i still haven't got a key yet. all i got is access to the forum.
-
-
I'll join when it goes Gold... or when it does it official release..
-
Signed up.
What do I get except the key? -
The game itself?
-
I'd wish.
really? -
They are basically only accepting people they know and paid beta testers at the moment. If you get a key it won't be long though
I'm excited for the game but I'll wait for the launch date. -
I don`t need to be paid. I just want a free copy of the game.
-
-
I dunno.
I just read Gophn`s initial cover for the game, so yea, I guess it`s free.
Sowhat do we get?
-
Possibly some special bonus for being a beta tester. Could be a special tag, or attribute bonus, item or whatever. My vote goes to useless but 'special' looking name tags or badges or ability to make names multicolored or something.
That's how some free-to-play online games reward their beta testers -
First of all, this is "Free to Play" game when its released.
As for the beta, when register to receive a Beta key:
- you need to qaboss account and make an EA account
- they will email you a Beta key and a link to QAboss
- go to the link in the email and register for the beta test forum (qaboss.com)
- then you will be asked for the beta key in order to porceed... which will link you to download the client and create your character -
not many people got a key for the closed beta testing. I know alot of people who signed in but never heared a thing!
-
It also the questions that they ask you, from what I was told.
People that got in quick are those that had good answers.
Previous Experience: talk about other games you tested, even if it was unofficial.... like UT3 beta demo was out for the publc... that counts.
Why do you want to be included in this test?: (very important section) you need to tell them why you should be in this beta (or even in future EA betas). The best thing is to say that you want to help improve the game to make a great final product. .... something like that. -
I did all those things but i still don't have a key.
-
not sure then.
I know some people that got in in less than a month... and they are not experienced beta testers... just good BS'ers. -
Thanks for the info Gophn. I've registered so we'll see if I get in.
-
The Forerunner Notebook Virtuoso
I registered a while back and no word yet. I don't care as long as they enter open beta soon or just release the game already.
-
Hope you guys can join in.
Don't be surprised if you see my appear behind you and knife ya. -
I always knew you were a back stabber

UPDATE (Jan 21 2009)
this game is opening again for the closed beta.... pretty sure its going to be for stress tests.
in any case, they are not being picky about giving away beta keys this time around.
Instructions:
- - go to www.battlefield-heroes.com
- - sign in to the site (with an EA account)
..... if you do not have an EA account, make one, its free and quick to do - - then go to this link: sign-up form
- then you should get the message saying that you will have 1 beta key for yourself
here is the site for other details:
http://www.battlefield-heroes.com/news/battlefield-heroes-beta-key-signup
the beta should re-open soon again with more maps and customizations.
hope to see you guys on.... I'll be invisible and waiting with my knife.

its not really a tease.
this beta that is about to open again is pretty much the final beta... which would be the last test before it goes live.
get a beta key from them, no need to earn it or anything.
definitely worth to play if you havent yet. -

Just signed up thanks
-
I'd love to get in just to trial it on my Eee and N10J to see how well it does with the Atom CPU.
-
ArmageddonAsh Mangekyo Sharingan
lets i hope i get an invite for the beta
-
Scary thing is that the comment on the page:
"Battlefield Heroes Closed Beta Signups reach over 100,000"
Makes me wonder why they don't just make it an open beta? I can't imagine that they'd give out over 100,000 beta keys. It'd be kind of silly. -
I really think its the last test before it goes public.
.... probably a stress test for the servers. -
Here we go!!!
the Beta is back an open.
If you guys get the email from the BFH Team.... just follow the instructions properly on the email and you should be ready to play.
Hope to see you guys on there.
Tip: make more than one character (one for each team) just in case if you want to switch sides if there are uneven teams.
If you guys want to find me my two characters are:
GophnRoyals
GophnNationals
one for each team.
I am usually not on until around midnight PST -
For some reason my beta application was removed (again) so i signed up again today. I am a member for like 4 months and i have been able to reapply for a beta key (thus i guess my appliaction was "removed) for like 4-5 times.
-
ArmageddonAsh Mangekyo Sharingan
how long do you have to wait to see if you will get a bets key, when are they sent out?
-
I signed up but haven't received an email yet... we'll see what happens.
