    Battlefield Stange problem

    Then I lay battlefiled 2 I get high framrates (50 fps) at medium settings but I can´t control my charater it walks by it self. Sometimes it stopps and I can play for a while but then it laggs and I have problem steering but I still have same framerates 50+. Please help me.

    I have a Toshiba m70:
    1.73 Ghz
    1024 Mb RAM
    MRX 700 256 Mb stock: 358/331

    is this online? if it is it could be pulling you around the map becuase you have a bad internet conection, so the server doesn't know where you are, its called rubberbanding and is caused by packet loss.

    uninstall it and reinstall. try it first w/o updating to the newest version and if that doesnt work bring it up to 1.4.

    also check directx and any gfx card drivers, probably not the issue but it never hurts to check those.

    Download Full 1.4 Patch > Uninstall BF2 and every possible folder dealing with it. > Reinstall BF2 > Apply Full 1.4 Patch > Defragment your Harddrive.

    I unistalled Norton antivirus (mostly because I don´t like it) and installed the Omega drivers and now it works like a charm.

    I'm confused... Are you saying that uninstalling Norton fixed your problems?

    I guess it´s the drivers but you never know.
