Looks like people have taken former EA Chief Creative Officer Patrick Soderlund's advice and not bought the game because the release has now been pushed back to November 20.

So far so good everything seems fine playing the the beta and getting around 100 fps at 1440p. Anyone here playing? How much fps are you getting?

Still have to wait till the 20th. Refusing to by the deluxe version. I was in Closed alpha and beta and I like it quite a bit. Not so much the low ammo part when spawning but I could work around that. Performance wasnt that great during beta though so I hope that is sorted out now.
They say its kinda short on content though. -

I won't lie, RTX adds alot. verbatim real lighting, shadows and reflections is a pretty big jump in photo realism. id hold of on this generation of gpus though.

The RTX in BFV isn't even that big of a leap, certainly not 50-60% FPS cut worthy.
Without direct side-by-sides, you might even wonder if it's even on a lot of the times
The differences are subtle, the requirement is not. Devs aren't going to want to build for RTX ground up until consoles get it.Last edited: Nov 15, 2018 -

Anyone else loving the game so far? Definitely the best BF in years. Has a very BF1942 feel to it. Maps are large, extremely detailed and lots of covered areas with foliage. BF1 had to much open area that made crossing fields difficult. This game has cover areas to flank around in a trench/ditch area, with trees and bushes to cover you.

Detailed how to tune and why for regular non-RTX settings, setting by setting.
Although RTX settings are mentioned briefly - basically turn RTX off if you want competitive multiplayer game play FPS / input lag.

Dunno why this is only happening in menus that use this diorama-esque scene of your soldiers. Normal gameplay and other games do not exhibit this or other visual artifacting.
EDIT: Reverting to older drivers didn't fix this. This feels like a game issue because the class customisation menus doesn't exhibit such visual glitches nor does the actual multiplayer matches. If it was a GPU issue it would exhibit over multiple games.Last edited: Dec 2, 2018Vasudev likes this. -
Little bit short on maps though iko and the time to kill could be a bit better. I def wish that a couple of Russian maps, german maps, pacific maps etc would be added. A bit more those iconic fights such as stalingrad, iwo jima, d-day etc. -

Anyone who played BF4 and BF1 competitively able to comment on the TTK, gunplay, and movement in this game? I'm hoping it's more like BF4 than BF1, I enjoyed the accuracy of the BF1 weapons but disliked its generally high TTK and uninteresting movement mechanics.
Also did they fix the godawful Conquest scoring system from BF1? -

Conquest scoring feels different too. Each kill takes a ticket, and if the opposing team is screwing up you quickly can take 50 tickets away from them when they are stuck in the kill grinder. Flags are a little bit less important imo because of that because even though if you dont have many flags, if you kill massively more you still can win. -

Ngl, this game is sounding less and less appealing by the minute lol. -
killkenny1 Too weird to live, too rare to die.
Wait, did they seriously censor word Nazi in char of this game?
So what are you suppose to call one of the sides you are fighting, country of politically challenged ideology? -
