Battlefield: Bad Company

Just played the demo. It ******* stunk. As a long time player of the BF series on PC. I really never expected much of this series on the consoles. After playing 1 game online i can safely say this is the worst in the series. (i have never played any other console BF games. ) I guess im just spoiled by BF2 and COD4. this game could easily just have been a mod for BF2. the gold mode is interesting , but not worth making a new game. The whole game feels dumbed down for consoles. (no voice chat, preset commands that u control, etc) . the graphics are ok , at best. but Its not much better than the almost 3 year old BF2. so my point is if you5 waiting for this game , like i was, dont.

I Would score the demo.

7/10. its meh. nothing new worth noting. and some of the core features are crippled. the gameplay and graphics are ok. but stick with cod4/BF2.

 

I've noticed in my time that the console forms of Battlefield tend to be a sub-par shooter compared to their PC based brethren.

Then again, in my mind Battlefield really isn't meant to be single player in the first place.

You can download demos on 360 and PS3....

But man that does suck to hear that. I was really waiting for this game. I wanted it for PC but was sad when I found it was only for consoles. Guess i'll download the demo later...

 

Has anyone played it?

I bought it yesterday, and it's ok. Not as good as CoD4. I've only played the campaign so far. I'll try out multiplayer today. I can already tell it won't be better than BF2: PR though but a decent game.

 

I've been eagerly awaiting news of BF3, I hope BF:BC is not BF3.

 

Me neither! Man a new BF game would be great. Bad Company seems somewhat out of place from the others, but it does have a somewhat similar feel...but different

 

I need money what i meant above is i thought it was out for PC, Silly me.

 

i hope the PC exclusive titled battlefield: totally free pc incarnation, or something like that, turns out to be solid.

im betting it will.

 

I loved the demo for the PS3, and I've been playing BF2 since launch. (Back on my old FX5500)

It for sure is a change in the series, but I love it, and it is MUCH better than BF2: Modern Combat.

 

do you mean the cartoon shooter battlefield heroes? i cant wait for that.

i wasnt so sure about bad company either, especially after i heard that it was console only. i have been playing bf since 1942.

 

Ar eyou kidding? BAd company is really good. The multiplayer has a great ranking system where you unlock new weapons at each level, the combat is pretty great in the gold crate game mode. They are adding a conquest mode for a free download in a couple weeks and the game is fulled with people. This is one of the best battlefields imo. You can go into a town in a tank and blow up literally every building its amazing. If theres a sniper in a tower, yo ushoot a rocket and blow his tower up. The level of destruction is just plain amazing. I give the game a 9/10.

 

Well the graphics are really good...but the gameplay doesn't compare to BF2. Well...I haven't played online yet, i'll re edit this post later tonight

 

i played it, thought it was great. it was just fun, seemed like a good laugh and i thoroughly enjoyed it. I've had every single Battlefield game in the series and i like the difference. I played it on my ps3 and it was good on the console. I wouldn't like to see it change from being serious, all out war like it is on the pc.

 

So I just got done playing a few games online and it wasn't bad.

It's like CoD4 in that you pretty much just run around and kill people and complete objectives. Not very team based.

*sigh* It made me wanna play BF2: Project Reality

 

Team Fortress 2 is a great team strategy required if you want to win game. It's got fun cartoon graphics.

 

How can you say it '****ing stinks' and then give it 7/10??

Reminds me of the official N64 magazine back in the day, they would say stuff like 'This game is absolutely terrible, and not worth anyones money' and then award it 65%!

I remember even playing BF2 on the original Xbox and thinking it was absolute cack, but it got some pretty good reviews at the time....suppose it's inevitable you're going to be biased when you have the experience of a high end PC on your side.

 

Some of you will no doubt already have heard... but there are 5 new Battlefield games in the pipeline

BF heroes looks like it's going to be fun. if you're just playing the demo, then it's difficult to completely judge the full game. however, BF2 is a lot of fun, and i still play that game. BF2142 was pretty fun, but it got old to me after a while.
