the video featured the PS3, and from what I can see doesn't have any of the elements that made BF2 what it was for PC. I think you'll still be waiting for another BF to hit PC considering 2142 was a flop.

No Battlefield 3 and Bad Company is two different games. If you played Bad Company on the Xbox 360 and it had awesome single player campaign and large maps. So I am looking forward to play Bad Company 2 on my PC.

 

So will this game be in DX11?

 

Awesome video, I just wish there were an Xbox 360 beta/demo!

 

I know it was on PS3, but I'm sure the games will be almost identical. They are using the same game engine, and EA games even gives their console games dedicated servers (Both in BF:MC and BC). So the development process and end product will be very similar.

2142 was a BF2 mod in my opinion... this is a whole new engine with new game types. I really liked BF:BC for Xbox 360. My only complaint was that it did not come out on PC. So again, I'm pretty excited for this one.

 

I feel incomplete, since there was no PC version of BC1...

Battlefield 3 is still in the works, that'll be the real Battlefield PC game

I agree 2142 was the ugly duckling of the series (just like the console versions of Battlefield 2).

But Battlefield Bad Company is definitely a great game, but only for consoles (the style is way to simplified, there's nothing wrong with the more complicated BF2 set up).

Also I couldn't help but compare MW2 with BFBC2. Though I'm sure the latter will be a more complete game because I'm a major fan of DICE and their Battlefield games (aside from 1943 and 2142).

 

That's what I'm afraid of. It's fine if you like watered-down console games on your PC, but I wouldn't for a second call a 16-player-max gimped FPS a BF installment for the PC. I'll save that title for when we have full-scale 64-player battles in which I can do loop-de-loops around an aircraft carrier while dodging stingers and having my gunner guide a fly-by-wire TV cam missile half-way across the map to hit a low-flying bomber who's just about to drop his load on our flag cap.

 

16 player? where did you get that? its 24 minimum. i think it'll be 32. they got 1943 for the pc to be 32 player, so i think that bc2 will be 32 player also unless the engine can't handle it but im sure it will.
