Hello, new here and don't know if this is the appropriate subforum. I have a 2 year old BenQ S57 with a HD 4650 mobility, which has had it. I want to replace it myself and have determined that it is a MXM 2.1 Type II. My question is, has anyone here had any experience with the BenQ S57 either replacing the card or upgrading it? Or, can anyone tell me whether I can still buy such a replacement card? Its out of warranty so I don't mind ripping it apart, but I'm not even sure about that, whether to open it from the top or the bottom.

Any help in any way whatsoever would be hugely appreciated.

By the way, I have got no help whatsoever from BenQ. I will never, ever buy from them again. I asked them for specifications etc, their reply? "We do not sell such a card. Go to ATI." s.

    Hey thang.
I own a S57 as well. I tried to open the laptop as well. Unscrewed everything at the bottom but still something was holding the cover together not sure what tho.
Oh just a tip, the screws have different sizes for some. So try not to get them mixed up. I did. Took me really long to figure it all out again.

    Sorry I can't help.

I dont n´know if it is really worth to replace a GPU card in this laptop. AND I would not recommend going again for a HD4650M.
