Could someone with either a GTX 280m or a GTX 260m make a 1920x1080 3DMark06 run and standard settings and post the full results? Thanks in advance.

Try the Alienware subforum. All they ever do over there is benchmark.

Also, Google some benchmarks, there are sure to be some.

There are standard runs around, but none running at FHD res. I'm surprised no one's posted a result yet actually.

I actually expected little responses heh. I would do it but since I don't own 3dmark software, I cannot do custom res etc.

So, I imagine several users are on the same boat.

It's the only 3DMark i own, and I ran a wack for runs at the store here. It's the only direct comparison point I have. It's really not a huge deal, I was just thinking maybe someone had already done it.

i did but i dont have my score saved. i wont be able to run anything until next week. do you have any games or anything you would want to run at 1920*1200??? like dmc4 or crysis or something. (i mostly have sli running in my saved runs.) however i do have some 9800m gtx single runs which isn't far off from the 280m.

I also have only the Basic edition, can't run at 1920x1080, but I can tell you that when I upgraded from the 8800m GTS to the GTX 260m, the difference was significant (I'm only assuming you're planning to upgrade from your 8800M GTS).

Here's a comparison between the two at 1280x1024 (tested on my own laptops):

And I can now play Crysis at decent frame rates at mostly High, some Very High settings, when in the past I could play at mostly Medium, some High.
