    Best 2-4 Player LAN games?

    What are your favorite games to play when you only have a few buddy's over? I have a desktop with 8800GT MSI OC, friend has a 8800m GTS in his gateway and my tablet has ati 3200 which to my surprise can hold its own to some extent. Here is my list of games that have co-op/LAN :

    Gears of War (co-op and LAN)
    Halo PC (original, still fun on smaller maps)
    Synergy (Half life mod)
    TF2 (semi amusing w/ 2 people)


    but I'm wondering what other games are a blast w/ a few people? Doesn't matter if it is old or new. Am curious

    Also, for 4-5 people, if you do decide to pick up UT2K4 in addition to UT3, there are some brilliant co-op mods out there like blue moon rising, check moddb.com.

    unreal tournament, and utk4 is always fun
    counter strike source is surprisingly fun with that ammount of people.

    UT2k4 has been a standby along with Doom 3.

    Lately it's been Rainbow Six Vegas 2, which has AWESOME co-op. That one's a lot of fun.
