I have an hp computer that contains a 1.6 ghz processor intel celeron with g31/g33 express chipset family. (64 bit)

My second computer is an optiplex gx620 that contains Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 2.99ghz with a i945G aka (Intel(R) 82945G Express Chipset Family). (32 bit)

I'd like to ask which is better? My second computer has a faster processor, but my first computer has a family chipset; consisted of the g31 AND the g33.

Side Note: My first computer has a 3gb ram and my second computer has a 2gb ram but I'm not really that concerned about memory atm.

    g31: Intel® G31 Express Chipset
    g33: Intel® G33 Express Chipset
    i945G: Intel® 945G Express Chipset

Also I'm not really sure about what a family chipset is precisely so I'm wondering if two is better then one. All I know is that i945G beats both g31/g33 separately.

I'm looking for overall best performance, so please consider processor speeds as well.

Last but not least, thank you for reading this post. I'm grateful if you could kindly help me. :)

Hmm id say the 2nd is better just because i think 1.66 Hz is a real bottle neck for that pc. If i were you id take the good parts from both systems and make a better single system. That is ofcourse if there compatible. Lastly if you plan on doing any gaming get least 6gb of ram.
