I've been looking all over- Ebay, Dell.com, Acer, HP, Gateway, Alienware, etc. What I've been looking for is a computer with 2gb ram, 1.8 ghz processor or better, and a video card that is in the "performance" range. It might be wishful thinking but do any of you know of a laptop like this for under $1200?

Fill out the FAQ so that we can help you better.

For 15in look at the Dell Vostro 1500/Dell Inspiron E1520(use coupons to lower the price. It has a 8600m GT option. Also look at the Asus S96s with 8600m GS

compal ifl-90 or dell 1520, take your pick. IMO, go for the compal ifl-90, it has better build quality and is slimmer.

If you are fine with a 8600m gs, then there's the s96s (which I own) and it looks better in person and it's a good value
