It gets worse every time i go in there.![]()
1) They never seem to have titles out on release day, besides Spore....... And I refuse to ask if its in the back, on release day, because I prefer to not look like a complete friendless loser trying to pick a game up the first day it comes out, like i had it on my calendar. *Even if some of that may be true....
2) Section is not really organized, or up kept. Looks like they just dump the boxes of games on the shelf.
3) And forget any help in that department. Just count on the same clerk following you through 3 departments asking if you need help with something you have no interest in what so ever...
4) And *** is up with 8 free weeks of Sports Illustrated at Check-Out!!!? How long must they keep up this campaign ><;
ok, rant over, thx for letting me get it off my chest.![]()

My Best Buy has a whole row dedicated to PC games. It's layed out rather neatly too and arranged by Genre.
-
Actually, once they signed me up without consent...and I didn't even get my free 8 weeks. They tried to bill me ASAP, which didn't go over too well with the manager when I had a "friendly" conversation with Best Buy regarding fraudulent charges on my CC.

4. They stopped the magazines a long time ago. I don't know what the hell you guys are talking about.
-
My Bestbuy has over 200 PC games in stock, maybe the one you go to sucks!
-
Granted, its been a while since I've been in Best Buy...a few months I'd wager.
But my particular incident happened quite some time ago.
-
My Best Buy near Woodbridge Mall, NJ is nice and clean as well.
-
my best buy has 2 really long rows full of pc games. bigger selection than any other store in the area. now, it isnt very organized, if it isnt a new release it takes about 5 minutes to find a game, but my other choise is gamestop, which is more disorganized and has pc games on 1 small shelf.
-
BenLeonheart walk in see this wat do?
I wish we had BestBuy here at Honduras
*sobSob*

Yea, most stores have either very small, or no PC games section. I haven't been to the nearest bestbuy in a few months, but last I went there it was 3 long racks of PC games (1 & a half isles) Decent selection, actually larger than each console's individual isle. Overall bestbuy has a better selection of PC games than the gamestop's, gamecrazy's, or EB games nearby, and there are ALOT of game stores here in the middle of sacramento. Though I still prefer FRY's electronics when shopping retail for anything PC.

Lethal Lottery Notebook Betrayer
lol compared some other stores bestbuy is fine, and if you ask for a game who said you are loser? why would you care what a best buy employee thinks of you? and as for the magazine thing, try being accousted in a kmart aisle by some crazy employee offering you a free slice of pizza if you get thier credit card. of course no one at best buy knows what there talking about. oh an pc game sales are going way down its all about the consoles now, why would they even keep up that section that well?
-
Ya know, I happen to like those free magazines. back in 2006 I got offered a free year subscription to car & driver for buying an xbox360 at bestbuy, I've been paying for it ever since, awsome magazine
-
Its true, all best buys are not created equal
-
The one I go to has a lot of old games and cheapo kiddie games, but is sketchy on newer stuff. Definitely chaotically arranged too. I always thought that once a letter was in a certain place in the alphabet, it stayed there, but when I tried to find Call of Duty 4, it turned out the C's were all over the place.
-
My Best Buy has 200 copies of Flight Simulator 2000 in stock.
And yes, they are still offering me magazines. -
MICHAELSD01 Apple/Alienware Master
The BestBuy by me has the most the most PC games of any store around here. It's all neatly organized and their price matching has saved me a few dollars before. I'm pretty sure that they get games in on release, too. If you want to see a ridiculously small amount of PC games, go to a GameStop or EB Games.
-
The Gamestop near me actually has a horrible, gutted PC section. I had to go to my Best Buy to receive an in tact, undamaged copy of The Witcher.

That is why I usually order all my PC games on-line, all you have to do is look for vendors with free shipping and your set.

FS2000? Well I've never seen that at my best buy, all they have are copies of FSX.
I think he's exaggerating a bit or he must live in Alaska. -

Far Cry 2 pre-order from Newegg costs $47.99 + $2.99 for Newegg's standard shipping which is pretty fast.
Crysis Warhead was $27.99 with free shipping last time I checked. -
Thund3rball I dont know, I'm guessing
My Best Buy is the complete suck for games. I went there for Crysis Warhead on launch day... not a single copy, not even a sign of any copy ever existing in the store LOL. Luckily there's a Future Shop across the parking lot with an excellent game section. The BB used to be alright but it has gone WAY downhill over the last year or so. Ah well. There's lots of options around me, FS, EB Games, Walmart... I'm not worried.
-
Meh, disc and boxes are so 1990s. Especially now that only a few have nice manuals etc.
I prefer the CE editions (if they are worth it) or digital download. -

My Best Buy has one full rack front and back side, probably thirty feet long with four shelves, and another rack with one side filled. They usually carry a decent amount of games, but mainly the newer or more popular stuff. The older stuff or less popular isn't carried very long, but I can usually get that stuff for real cheap since they mark it down decently.
But I agree about putting games out on release day. I went to buy Crysis Warhead, and online it indicated it was in stock. Store opens at 10am, I was there at 4pm and it wasn't on the shelf. So I asked a blue boy if he could check it out, their system showed they had it in stock, he went in back, then after about TEN MINUTES he came back out and said they were sold out and wouldn't be in for at least another day. I think he just went and took a nap or a smoke or something.
I know they weren't out because next day at lunch I went back and there were dozens on the shelf. Oh well, I already downloaded it from Steam that previous evening. -
Only one row for PC games ? The Best Buy I go to has two whole row (4 shelves each ) dedicated to PC Games. ^_^
-
Bestbuy's in Pte-Claire, Quebec, Canada sucks at PC games and Wii games.
-
Bestbuy's near me have an isle with PC games and PC applications if I remember correctly.
What games are you looking for anyway? I think they have the newest PC games on the shelves when they are released. -
My bestbuy has all the game's it's as big as a walmart lol
-
-
BB in burlington, ontario, canada has a ton of PC games.
-
here in North Little Rock, they have a very very decent arrangement.
They are sorted alphabetically for the most part, BUT they do have the MMORPG's on the very last shelves, there's probably a reason for that.
anyway, they have like, well, a long *** shelf aisle full of PC games. They seemed to have a decent stock of the games.
I didn't pick up Crysis Warhead, while Crysis looked good, it didn't offer me anything else, I thought the gameplay sucked.
But that's just one man's opinion.
Best Buy's PC game section sucks...
