I know it isn't much of a budget, but if one wanted to get a laptop for casual gaming, for flight simulator X, but budget is $800, what is my best option?
Don't say desktop, because I don't have a place for one.
Thx!!

If you can manage a $1000 budget then the Asus G60vx at Best Buy would be a good buy.
Otherwise a Dell XPS possibly refurbished from the Dell Outlet may be your best bet. -

A refurb G50 is probably your best bet.

-
Where can you get refurbs??
-
look for deals on laptops at tigerdirect.com
I bought my Gateway P-7805u FX refurbished there for $700, when it retailed for $1100-1200. They have crazy deals on great laptops every now and then. Haven't any any problems at all with my laptop. -

The Gateway 7811 FX, 1920*1200, 9800M GTS used or refurbished.

Well IF youre lucky maybe up it to 850-900 and get a refurbed or second hand G60/51vx but be warned make sure its in warrenty as it runs HOT and tigerdirect is a good source shame ati doesnt offer much at this price range

Or, if you can stand the added size of a 17" notebook and want a higher resolution, the Gateway FX P-7811/7805u as everyone else has already stated. -
Look for some used NP8662's since some of those who just have to have the latest tech will have those up for sale due to the release of the G860 with the mobile i7 and GTX 280M. Take a look in the NBR marketplace.
