Theres a split between MX518 and the G5. Personally I love my G5 but I can't say I've ever tried a 518, so I can't give you a solid answer. The G5 is more expensive ($45) but it is 2000dpi, adjustable DPI right on the mouse, and you can adjust the weight of the mouse using provided bearings. Some say this is overkill and the simplicity of the MX518 makes it better for the average gamer. Its all a matter of preference really :) .

Then there are those who like razer as well. I'm not a real fan of them though (i need my fingers to curl -.- ). i hated the copperhead i tried out at best buy.

i have an mx-518 and love it. when i go back to a cheap normal mouse i notice the difference right away. the sensitivity adjustment and extra buttons are cool too. i cant say i have tryed other mouses, but you wont go wrong with the mx-518.

G5 is a righthanded mouse that is perfectly contoured to your hand. Both the G5 and the copperhead i'm sure are equallly capable performers so i would just go with the one that you feel most comfortable with. go to best buy and try them out.

I'd say Razer's gaming mice are the best for FPS. Right now I'm kinda broke and using a $10 microsoft notebook mouse. And yes, I still can pwn with it ^^
    Beats using a touchpad anyday.

LOL! I thought I am the only guy who is old-school here. Yeah, I still use my 4 year old MS Intellimouse Explorer Optical with 5 buttons! For extra sensitivity, just go to Control Panel -> Mouse and turn up cursor speed to full and in-game mouse settings as high as I want. No need for 1000+ dpi.

    I have a MX-510, never thought I'd be impressed with a mouse.
