I have a maxed out MBP (2.66GHZ Core 2 Duo, 4GB RAM, 8600M-GT, 200GB 7200 rpm HD), and I'm wondering, what is the best way to game on it (using Windows). Use Parallels 3.0, or VMware Fusion. Or, should I boot right into XP using Boot Camp. Are there any other options?

    Thanks for any advice.

Boot camp is the only best way, since your Windows XP on a Mac will run at its native speed.

Any recent game? Boot Camp. All the way.

I have a 2.4 MBP and I game in Vista through BootCamp.

Gaming through Parallels or Fusion is not a particularly fun and runs pretty badly.

I ended up uninstalling my virtualization programs. I'll wait until the systems are more mature before I install them again.

I also recommend bootcamp for gaming.

However, if you were to choose between VMware fusion and parallel desktop, I would choose VMware fusion.

Not too up to date on mac's but my dad swears by Bootcamp for all his MBP gaming needs, and we have not had any problem doing so.
