Best New Games to blow your money on?!

Hey guys, been outta the loop for a while. Got me my now OLD gaming rig in sig. below lol. And since then I've only really played (HL2, TF2, L4d1 and 2, Bioshock, and Cod4)

Now I'm a team player, and so we really wanted cod:MW2 to be like it used to so my team can get back in the groove. As you all now, MW2 had their little "we hate dedicated" stunt. So I did not even bother buying it. cause i like team play on servers. This matchmaking system in garbage imo.

So, what do i have to look forward to (keep in mind, im outta the loop due to really busy college life, I really only game intensely on breaks).
So far, I'll probably get Bioshock 2, I'm waiting on the next HL2 episode.
I currently play alot of l4d2 and tf2.
My next big game i'm really waiting for is SC2 (mostly because lots of other people will be playing.
Lastly, I want to know what you think the next MASSIVELY played FPS will be. I'm talking just as many players as COD4 had. (but hopefully this new game will be server based again, like PC games should be!)
any battlefield? or FPS? thats coming out thats gonna be a big deal?

 

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is coming out march 31st. If you pre-order online with gamestop you get access to the multiplayer beta on january 25th - feb 28th

Yes and apparently GTA V is estimated to be coming out late 2010 early 2011! I'll deffinitely go out and get GTA V when it comes out since using simple logic, Rockstar created a game that was not at all easy to get going on the PC and have a good experience with GTA IV, so i think GTA V may be like some of the games that have been coming out recently, with surprisingly low system requirements.

Yes. You have to preorder with gamestop and online only. If you preorder in store it won't let you in

 

M-A-S-S E-F-F-E-C-T 2 is scheduled for release later this month (Jan 29th).

 

I'm still getting through mass effect 1. I planned my character(Vanguard) all wrong. Should invest more in biotic powers and less in pistols. Though back to the topic, the OP wanted an online FPS game, that's the only reason I didn't suggest ME2

 

I'm waiting for Aliens VS Predators to come out!
Hopefully, multiplayer will be good!

 

That's the problem I have with RPG's like ME, FO3, Oblivion, etc. You never really know how to upgrade your character and can lose dozens of hours of your life wasting upgrades.

 

I refuse to restart and lose the 4 hours I have invested in the game so I'm stuck with this char

 

Battlefield: BC is one of my favourite online FPS games. HDR sound, awesome destructible environment, plus great graphics make it a must play. Can't wait for the second one, nearly went out too buy an Xbox purely for BF:BC, then I heard its coming out on PC. Awesome!

Alien vs Predator is going to be great as well, can't wait. AvP2 was awesome fun, and the multiplayer was a hoot too (anyone remember survivor mode?)

Anyone heard of The Saboteur? Reviews have been pretty good on it so far, looks great. Think GTA4/Assassins Creed set in Nazi France.

MMO wise, I am eyeing up Jumpgate Evolution. Think Eve online with direct control of your ship. Bring on the space dogfights, can't wait again.

 

Saboteur was a good game. The only problem is the climbing mechanics were very jerky and involved spamming the spacebar a lot

 

well, after letting this forum stew for a bit, im glad to see Bad company has come out on top... And that fits what i was looking for.

Im sure ME2 and other games with be good, but i want a massively played FPS to have some fun with me and my team...

Battlefield it is i suppose... SC2 is also up there just for personal like

MW2 , Left for Dead maybe if u like killing zombies... Battlefield Bad company mass effect... max payne 3 in march 2010....

Wonder why no one mentioned Global Agenda. Its a bit of an MMORTS, supposedly a TF2++. Beta starts on the 7th so I can give a bit more info later.

 

Also wanted to add Borderlands. That game was a good ride while it lasted. Unfortunately MW2 has taken up all of my time.

 

looking forward to Bad Company 2, loved BFBC on my PS3 so it should be pretty good =)
