Best New RPG/FPS Xbox 360 Game?

Hey I'm looking to buy another 360 game to stall time so I can wait for the new Clevo 860 =p

I was wondering what the best new game for 360 is looking to be
I LOVE RPG's and would prefer a very good RPG but I haven't seen many for 360
other than that I like FPS
so preferably the best RPG game for 360 and also FPS but I can assume most will say CoD'4

 

Well, not knowing what 360 games you've already played...

Best RPG = Oblivion
Best FPS = Bioshock or Gears of War

FWIW, I think there's a "game of the year" version of Oblivion that contains the expansion packs.

Also, Gears isn't an FPS.....Maybe Halo 3?

Yes!! I like all the games mentioned, but would consider Oblivion a "must buy" although, I'd get the PC version of it (and Bioshock, CoD 4, etc) if your PC can run them well.

If 3PS type games count, the new GTA game comes out in a few days......One the the few great 360 games that's not getting ported to PCs this year.

My pc is a hunk of junk so ill have to stick with the 360 version
and yeah but GTA4 is coming out on ps3 only for like a year isn't it

No, 360/PS3 releasing on the same day. Most people are saying the 360 version is the one to own (more content or something) but I'd wait for reviews in case one version is poorly coded (like the Orange Box debacle on PS3)

But alright ill wait and see what the reviews say for GTA4 after it is out

 

Yeah GTA4 will kick ass, you should definitely get it for the 360 because it will be getting exclusive downloadable content. Best RPG on the 360 is between Oblivion and Mass Effect. Oblivion has a lot more depth to it but Mass Effect is just a beautiful game, though significantly shorter than Oblivion.

Best shooter - my favorite as of right now is COD4. Bioshock is amazing as well but no multiplayer so it's pretty much just a rental. I've played Halo 3, Gears, Rainbow Six Vegas 1 and 2, and Call of Duty 4 still remains my favorite.

 

Lost Odyssey is an underrated xbox360 RPG. You should check that out.

 

And when Fable 2 comes out.. (drool)
Though if it comes out on PC also, my planned M50Sv could possibly play it! Woop.

Yeah Fable one was really fun BUT WAY TO EASY
I was looking at Lost odyssey as its made by the Final Fantasy creators
or some of them
Have you personally played it?
Was the story good and graphics also?
Is it real time or turn based?

 

Everyone already said it, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. If you haven't played it, you don't know one of the best RPGs of 2007.

Bioshock is a great fusion of RPG and FPS (more FPS). I'd highly recommend getting that.

Mass Effect is pretty awesome, similar to other Bioware titles like KOTOR and Jade Empire in a much bigger universe.

 

I agree with pretty much all the games that people have said.

But they've missed one... Blue Dragon. Made by the same team that did Chrono Trigger. FIY... Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey both have demos that you can download if I remember correctly.

Oh yeah... Mass Effect. Great game... but... its tedious at some points. There's like, 15 different planets you can go explore. But they're basically all the same. It's kind of lame that way, but the rest of it is amazing.

 

I was just about to say this same thing. I sat and watched my little brother play it for hours and couldn't stop. It has a very good story that draws you into the character(s). If you play it and end up liking it I would recommend picking up Blue Dragon also, it's made by the same guy and they are both very underrated and both very good.
