Yes, I did search but didn't get a definitive answer. Anyone help me out here? The laptop is an HP Pavilion dv6000 with a GeForce Go 7400. Currently using the stock drivers that came pre-installed. Just wondering if there are better drivers out there.

Just download the newest ones. There's no such thing as a "best" driver.

I recommend 81.98 or 84.91 from laptopvideo2go.
Both will allow overclocking and both give excellent performance on a Geforce Go 7400. I found little benefit from using drivers in 1xx, 15x and 16x series since these drivers seem to be optmised toward better performing cards and Geforce 8 series. 81.98 is older but will fix graphical bugs in some games. -
I always used 80.40 or 80.41 I think, one of those two, not sure which one is an actual release, the 80-84.xx series are best by far.
edit: for low end 7 series. Not in general. -
i uses 97.54 from sony for my vaio. i found out that the ones from laptop2go disable some of the hardware function, such as brightness control via the keyboard function keys.

I currently have the 86.02 installed that came with the computer. Will I get better performance by using the 80.xx, 81.xx, or 84.xx?
