I'm torn between Total Annihilation and Ikaruga.

I think I'll go for Ikaruga. Amazing game. AMAZING!

In case you can't tell, you are invulnerable to attacks/enemies of the same color. You also do double damage to enemies of the opposite color. When absorbing attacks, you also charge up your "super attack".

I would have to say Diablo 2. It was the first game I played with my dad, my little brother, and my cousin. Its not the best game ever made but I spent more time having fun playing it than any game before or since, it was a great family activity (along with You Don't Know Jack). Best game of all time RE4 although the computer port left alot to be desired.

    Let's see...
For multiplayer either C&C: Renegade or World of Warcraft (though I canceled my account until WotLK).
For single player, Blood or the Half-Life series.

C&C3 deserves honorable mentions in both categories as well, best RTS in a long, long time, if not the best ever. (Then again, I always preferred C&C-style RTS to Blizzard's. I thoughy WarCraft 3 was an absolutely terrible RTS.)

    I mostly like classics:
Dungeon Keeper II, being evil is so awesome
Monkey Island series, part III in particular
Dat of the Tentacle, I still smile when I think of that game
Diablo II, hack n' slay at its best
C&C deserves a mention, TS and RA2+addon in particular
    Jade Empire

Alone in the Dark for 3DO.

And Call of Duty 4. Best FPS story of all time.

Everyone gets the idea that a favorite game or "best" game has to be a classic. I think it's BS. Call of Duty 4's story will be remember for a long, long time. What were these "classics" before the were "classics". Good games... just like we have now.

actually i think a favourite game has to be one that you keep on playing for ages, not one that you remember for ages...........i still play aoe2 almost 8 years later..........i highly doubt i will be playing cod4 in 8 years time.

    its 100% opinion.so no one is wrong :D :D :D

but after about 6 months...cod4 has just got repetitive...........i still play it at lans, but we play with very restricted weapons and perks.........where team work is essential rather than just a public server where its a massive free for all.........

after 8 years i still get a couple of aoe2 games in a week.......online games are all completely different........with random maps, and random civs......plus an awesome group of mature people, its just an awesome game to play. especially when you meet regulars and you play enough games with the same people to learn their tactics.....its just got something that cod4 doesn't.

I hated that game, it was like one of those new horror movies that used loud sounds/flashes/bangs and screaming to intimidate you, I played it for 4min, still own it, don't play it.

Now HL2, although I'm only like 1/6th through the very first one of the Orange Box, its superior to any of those atmospheric types.

I agree with you there, Jeff. AoEII is one of those "timeless" games. Call of Duty 4 may never be a tactic, but the story will be remembered. I think the online gets pretty repetitive, but I have played through the story countless times, and still love it.

    AoEII= Classic, Fantastic Game
Call of Duty 4= One of my favorites

I just finished the german campaign of Blitzkrieg (the first one). I know it's an old release, but I just got it and it's pretty good, but it gets a little redundant. I'm disappointed that there are no quick battle random type missions, guess I'll have to check out the map editor. :)
Good game if you like RTS's, but it's hard to find (domestic, not imports).
