Oblivion was addictive and pretty, albeit very bland, uninventive, and repetitive. It's sort of like the guilty pleasure of an MMORPG, without the MO.

It was kind of hard for me to pick CoD4.

I have CoD4, GoW, Assasians Creed, Bioshock, and Rainbow Six on XB360, so all these games I allready have, just not on PC. COD4 gets old IMHO, but then again, I did want something pretty to run on my lappy!

On another note, I sure love this cooler!

Oh yeah, I'm sorry about the dumb advice Chase. Forgot you bought the cooler.

What are your temps during load?

I'd say Crysis (1). Given I've only played it @ 1280*1024 on High DX.9... with three settings on medium

& Cod4 @ 1400*900 Maxed out looks better, on my hardware (ATI X1950 GT), but if you have the 8800/3800+, Crysis will look much better.

I only run Crysis in DX10, 1280x 800 all high to achieve playable framerates. (I'm extremely picky though)

I hope I can do the same with my X50 MV! :( But likely have to drop a few things down to medium!

You're COD4 pics don't look like a huge improvement! :p Maybe post pictures of the Middle east missions?

I honestly say COD4 with everything maxed gives Crysis a run for it's money. I just finished it and actually liked it better than Crysis as far as gameplay and plot.

Guys, here is a shot from my CoD4.

    Core 650mhz / Mem 880mhz

This is with my cooler. Do you guys think I'm pushing my 8800 gts too far or am I safe with these temps?

I have Voted for Crysis Before as the best looking, but for these times hardware, Gameplay and value, id change my mind and go Bioshock, btw Chase, i cant see your temps.. is it 66 or 86? if its 86 then thats bad Voodoo, if its 66 then thats some cool temps. Also you should check the temps without the cooler, just to have an idea about how hot is the Ram.

I could never picture COD4 with graphics that can match Crysis!

Too used to the jag fest that was the 360 version but still, those COD4 pics haven't got the greatest compression so I dunno! :)

Crysis cannot be matched Visually, if i did want to compare the 3 games visually (COd4,Crysis Bioshock)

    then it would be Crysis>Bioshock>COD4

Dont get me wrong, COD4 looks fantastic , but in some cases it looked crappy, like the stage where you need to Save Nicolai , when are you inside the house, look at the shadows on the walls, they are on Jagfest Also look at the SKY, for God's sake it looks that it was made with Microsoft paint, i know many games that have better Skies, ET:Quake wars Sky looks as an Equal to Crysis sky IMO. Bioshock is more well made, all the levels are equally Great Visually, the water running on walls, when you melt the ice.. the Character design, the Faces, the Lighting system... its just awesome.

Still Crysis wins. when Better Hardware comes out that is capable of running Crysis @ Full with 60+FPS that would be heaven

Oh god, don't remind me about COD4's sky, horrid looking and puts a big dent on the graphics imo!

Bioshock has a great visual style, and the graphics technically are beautiful "water is om nom nom!" Crysis Warhead, looks to be bringing a more efficient engine and in the latest gameplay on gametrailers, the developers are pushing over 40 characters on screen! May not seem like much but compared to Crysis it had about a dozen or so! :p

Yeah i have high Hopes for it, Btw about the water you did remind me of something, there is that Mission Near End Game where you need to hold your location , the Mission has the Usage of a fallen chopper Minigun and blowing some C4 Charges, anyway, if you want down the hill and looked to the river, you can actually see Vertical Lines between Each lets say 2 square meters of water, and i was OMG! what are those borders, it was really Ugly honestly

Crysis Hands down with very high settings. I Played CoD4 first and thought it was the best but crysis is much better, and CoD4 has very limited visuals in the enviroment meanings its a small setting, since Crysis is a sandbox its a whole world and that makes a big difference.

My vote's for World in Conflict. Awesome story (very Red Dawn like) and awesome graphics, even on 1440x900 on High. Go DX10 and it looks even better.

EDIT: Although I only played the demo of Bioshock, I was "shocked" (lol) by the graphics and storyline, and it scared the bejebbies out of me.

Yes, Specular Map, Glow, Depth of Field, etc. are all on.

And I agree, Crysis and Bioshock are better looking than CoD4, I just think CoD4 is still a beautiful game.

    It was 66.

I ran it for a little bit without the cooler and was seeing around 75 or so.

Im depressed, I just beat COD4 and started playing it last night. Played from about 10pm last night to around 3am... Then I've played 2 hours today using the new headset I bought at work with that awsome employee discount. :)

From my limited experience so far, I'd say yes, give it another shot. The storyline is compelling and the graphics are pretty kickass. But again, I've just started, so my in-game experience hasn't really even begun. I got it from Steam for $15, took about 45mins to download.

I think the demo is about 900mgs off steam, the whole game however takes 5 gigs of my C. :D I just finished the game and was impressed throughout the whole game, I thought the ending was kind of a drag though. I'm choosing differently and playing it again for the good ending. Overall it played amazingly well on PC.

    Fable: The Lost Chapters

    Has my favoritest graphics ever.

Not necessarily amazing. But gorgeous nonetheless. ;]
