Besides crysis, what games out there look the most stunning?
-
the new unrealeased farcry, lol
-
Hell, even Farcry on max is still breathtaking, to me at least.
-
call of duty 4 is amazing at max setting. in fact it looks so much better than crysis because i can't run crysis any higher than everything at medium. also check out gears of war and bioshock.

The Forerunner Notebook Virtuoso
Gears of War and COD4 pumping at 1680 x 1050 is gorgeous.
-
Gears of War, Rainbow Six Vegas, Bioshock, Call of Duty 4; most of the games that use Unreal Engine 3.0.
-
I remember Age of Empires 3 as being touted by reviewers as a beautiful game; even though it wasn't the best.
-
quake 4 looks decent
-
Half life 2 on max is a b-e-a-utiful game

UE3 games actually kind of bug me, they all have this irritating glow in post-processing.
I actually really like the look of TimeShift. And a modded out Oblivion install can be a real crowd pleaser.
And for some odd reason, I just love looking at anything that uses the Doom 3 engine. -
Not really a game, but FSX definitely takes the cake... provided that your rig is good enough to run it on max.
-
-
Farcry 2 almost looks too good -.-
-
rainbow six vegas runs like crap. i don't think it was optimized correctly for PC.
-

-
good thing HL2 runs at max smoothly on my X3100!
-
Not all UE3 games looks good. I agree I hate this post processing "glow" that´s seen in most UE3 games. The games doesn´t look sharp enough to me.
But if you count older games too I would say Call of Juarez looks awesome, GT Legends a racing car game looks good also an older game.
Gears of War looks really good if you have the hardware for it, though it looks really good in medium/high settings too and runs very well on my laptop in the sig at 1920x1200.
Oblivion looks really good even today with visual enhancement mods added to it.
Medieval Total War 2, Silent Hunter 4 just to name a few. -
Currently, Crysis definitely gets my vote for "best graphics that no one can actually run the game at" game of the year.
-
my vote would have to go for HL2 EP2. looks good enough to eat. i know it looks dated to some...but i love it. COD4 is my current fave... love the mayhem and little bits of peper flying about.
a mate showed me this video for this game...starcraft 2 or something...i think it runs on the UT3 engine..but...looks STONKING.... -
Half-Life 2 and it's episodes gets my vote. Yes it's older, but considering a great deal of people can run it on max and that it still looks fantastic really shows a game that aged well.
-
I know it's an older game and never touted as having good graphics, but i find that Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher's Bay is very hardware friendly and looks great maxed out. Looks and runs similar to the source engine although I'm not entirely sure what engine it runs exactly.
But yeah, that glow, especially in Medal of Honour Airborne, is very distracting.
I have to say Rainbow Six Vegas on the 360 looks amazing, especially the campaign. World in Conflict is also a great looking game. -
Company of Heroes and it's standalone expansion Opposing Fronts
-
Team Fortress 2! Seriously. If only they'd increase the texture resolutions on some of the characters though...

for massive amounts of units at one, medieval 2 total war
-
I'll second the vote for Medieval 2 Total War. Also, I found that The Witcher looked good at max settings, especially in creating an immersive atmosphere.
