I couldn't imagine that Crysis is so higher than CoD4. Many say that Crysis is nothing more but realistic graphic. I suppose hype is that make ranking look like this.

 

I voted for COD4! COD4 was in the lead until yesterday but suddenly UT3 & Crysis jumped up. UT3 is not that good obviously.

 

yeah CoD 4 is awesome. judging by the demo crysis seemed nothing more than far cry on steroids.

 

So people go and vote for COD4! We need 5000 votes at least. Come on notebookreview.com guys! (I'm no IW or Activision employee)

this was a great year for games. wondering whats upcoming in 08

 

COD4 from me as well.... the campaign is amazing and the multiplayer is even better.

Also, Dana White is going to announce the other coach for the upcoming ultimate fighter show.... don't know if anybody watches it, but I am a fan. This is all on spike tonight... interesting to see what games will win awards

 

Voted for the Orange Box

 

I voted for Mass Effect, if I could've given a second, I would have given it to the Orange Box.

Those are the only two games (yes, out of all of them) that really got to me this year. And by that I mean through both gameplay AND storyline.

Screw all of these other posers.

 

Chonga yeah can't wait. I was gonna make a thread in off topic about UFC fans. That roger huerta fight was incredible. Can't wait to see who Griffin is going to fight and coach against.

Also there are supposed to be game premeries/announcements at the show and tahts why I am excited. Though I know their awards for the best games are probbaly going to be dumb.

 

I voted for CoD4 but I think it's a tie between that and the orange box...they should have put the Witcher on there though

i vote COD 4 for its multiplayer element, crysis for its visuals, and UT3 for best low hype game. well at least i havent heard of any hype on it. i didnt even know it was out. WTF MATE?

 

i can't believe that ut3 is one of the top games, everythign i heard from it is less spectacular than its ut2k4 counterpart, AND IF U WATCH GAMEMONITOR IT HARDLY EVER BREAKS 900 PEOPLE PLAYING compared to the 30,000 in cod4 and 20,000 in bf2!

as for crysis, it fell short in my eyes, but u can't ignore a game that got so much hype so it has to be on top (i guess)

Orange Box is my close second choice along with Bioshock following in a very close third.

 

The outcome is probably due to hypes, seriously game review sites like ign and gamespot allow people to vote on a game (user wise), before a game was even released. This is evident if you check out the "top games", something along this line, link at the IGN web site, games that not yet released already made the top ranks. -_-;;

 

This has nothing to do with readers choice awards.

 

If anyone voted cryis, im assuming

1. they dont play alot of fps games
2. they didnt play crysis for that long
3. theyve played no other game for this entire year, and diff not COD4

COD4 is the perfect game to me, there were no kinks, no super flaws, just a great experience, as good as a game can get now a days and highly optimized

I love crysis still, but after tossing my last korean through a shanty town hut, i realized that id rather play COD. But i must add, crysis has had some of the largest levels i have ever played, just simply massive, i felt like an ant

Yeah a good portion of the Crysis votes I'm sure were PC fanboys.

 

I'm a PC Fanboi but I'd still vote COD4. I've finished both COD4 and Crysis. COD4 gets my vote, it is much better storywise, graphically, hardware friendly, etc.

 

Voted for CoD4, if they make a "Best Benchmark Game of 2007", i might vote for Crysis. =P

 

My vote went to CoD4, although the Orange Box is also excellent, and I assume Mass Effect is (starting an immersive RPG a couple weeks before finals with 2 major papers due isn't a good way to graduate on time). I'll probably pick up Crysis at some point, but it seems more like a technology preview with some gameplay attached than anything else.

 

Spike awards got it right. They gave COD4 best shooter.

Edit: Bioshock won game of the year.

 

I voted COD4 because the game is simply amazing, both single player and multiplayer modes. I haven't been this happy with a computer game purchase since I bought HL2. Definitely worth every cent.

You must have not played COD4

 

I have played UT3, CoD4, and Crysis... They did not give me the freshness Bioshock gave me. UT3 was very much like UT2k4, CoD4 is still like CoD2, and Crysis greatly resembles Farcry. They are all good games though, but none of them wowed me the same way Bioshock did.

 

Bioshock had a great plot and immersive quality. But overall the gameplay was somewhat repetitive. Its definitely better than crysis and waaay better than UT3 though.

 

COD4 is all hype. Crysis truly deserves the #1 helm
