Not sure if this is best place to put thread?

I've got my new laptop, and haven't bought any actual games for it yet (GMA 950 by the way - not looking for high end gaming), refer to page 15 of "Will my laptop run. . . " thread.

So...what website would be recommended to download (be aware Im on dial-up) free games? I've looked around, but they all seem to be the same with rubbish.

    Thanks in advance :)

Dude ur in bad shape :( since u got dial-up and a intel IGPU the only site i could tell u
is Shockwave lol srry but since ur gpu cant handle much it might be ur only choice or the other option is to save up and buy a fairly good performing game that dosent require much graphic power

good luck with the compaq(HP)

Well thanks. I guess I only want downloads because I have nothing yet that I can play. But Im planning to get Quake 3 (do people still play that in online multiplayer?) and Star Wars Battlfront 1 (do people just play SWB2 in online multiplayer these days?).

It's free 2D multiplayer shooter. It should be fairly playable even with dial-up, and it's great fun! Even I play it sometimes, though my system can handle the latest 3D shooters. :)
